The fish and chips at this restaurant are the best I've ever had, except for Mariners Wharf in Hout Bay. Unfortunately, Cape Town is too far for me to get a regular refill. The fish is cooked to order with a crispy batter and perfectly flaky flesh. The chips are also fresh, made from real potatoes. My neighbor and I split an order since we are older ladies, but the men in our group dive in with determined expressions and satisfied sighs.
I ordered from the Codfather for a local care Home and it ended up being quite a large order! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it residents and staff! Everyone working at the Codfather was very helpful and genuinely lovely people. I’d recommend them to everyone! You get a lovely big portion unfortunately too big for some of us and it is all well priced. We would definitely order from them again

I ordered a large meal from The Codfather for a nearby care home, and it was a hit with both the residents and staff! The staff at The Codfather were extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend them to everyone. The portions are generous (even too big for some of us) and are reasonably priced. We will definitely be ordering from them again. Book a table now

Lovely staff behind the counter. Always cheerful and with a smile. Everything is cooked to order, so no soggy chips here. It’s an absolute pleasure to come and eat from here.
