Well now , I read the reviews for the Eggs Benedict and thought , ok if so many seem to think it's the best , give it a try , as I am partial to a well executed one , and I've made many in my time.My two breakfast partners chose more traditional eggs&bacon , and after the meals were presented , I could see why.The Benedict was simply a disgraceful example of the name. The Hollandaise sauce was plainly from a can/jar ,not freshly made , and was way too creamy to grace the name. And the sauce slopped over almost the entire dish , burying the Smoked Salmon and my sides of Mushrooms & Chorizo.The only redeeming feature was that the poached eggs were good soft poach , without the gallons of vineg...
In Mackay for work, thought I'd pop in as coffee is always good - food however not so good... Sorry Coffee Club - but I really think you should just stick with making Coffee and leave the food to the professionals.I ordered the good old Chicken Schnitzel and how disappointed I was.. The Chicken was so thin - all I could taste was the crumb that surrounded it, the salad was cabbage and some sort of mayo with fat chips on the side. So many times I've gone to Coffee Club - your prices are over the top - so expensive and I've been disappointed each and every time. Came in the morning after a 30th birthday, before doing an 8 hour drive back home. It was definitely the right choice. It was extremely busy but our meals still came out quite fast. I got the eggs benedict and it was absolutely delicious. Meals were reasonably priced and good size to them. Staff were very polite and chirpy. Would definitely go back again.
I might be a bit biased but the Coffee Club menus seem to suit me perfectly well. I had an all day breakfast for lunch and it was perfectly cooked. Good table service and, although the restaurant was busy, the service was great.

The quality never changes at the coffee club and I find it very convenient for business meetings. I ordered the chicken and avocado salad which was a nice light meal for lunch. I love the kj count as it helps me make up my mind
Breakfast here a couple of times and it was good with top coffee. Bacon and Eggs is easily mucked up if you like liek your eggs runny and bacon crispy. They got it right each time. Their french toast was a tad ordinary tho.
Upon being seated we where given a menu, we only ordered our coffee's and have them all within 10 minutes. Place can get crowed, in door and out door seating available.
Worst coffee club ive been 2 and thats saying something. Mostly there the same bit the one outside canelands was really bad. Rubber eggs on a eggs benny. Dont go here!

Always busy in here which is a great sign. Good service and friendly wait staff. There is a great range of food on the menu to suit all tastes.
I have a memebrship to Coffee Club in both AU and NZ. You can always count on CC for good food and decent coffee.
