John was the best bartender I've ever encountered. He was incredibly humble and engaging, making for fantastic conversation. I've never felt so comfortable in a bar before. He truly is an original! We will definitely be returning; he turned a great night into an even better one.
Hello everyone! I really enjoy exploring Bay Shore, and I recently discovered a charming bar called The Cortland. I must say, I had an amazing time and loved the whole atmosphere. I will absolutely be returning. If you're in town, this place is a must-visit!
Joe and Nora are fantastic! They are friendly, attentive, and quick. The atmosphere is wonderful—I felt like I had stepped into a bar straight out of that 70s show. It's definitely a spot I would take out-of-town guests to. I will absolutely be back!

This is the best little dive bar east of the Mississippi! However, it doesn't have any magicians, so I'm giving it 4 stars. Just a heads up: bring in a magician, and those 4 stars will turn into 5!
The bartender, Szkluts, is fantastic! The drinks are a perfect 10/10, and they serve the best Negronis in town. The food is incredible too!
If you like that 70s show you'll probably like the Cortland, except they don't like it when you spark a Jason inside.
