I went for my birthday with a group of 10 friends. Service was very slow, which I know happens sometimes with a larger party, but it was REALLY slow. They took our drink order and my drink never showed up. After waiting for 25 min I flagged down a waiter to request it again. They took our food order around 40 minutes after our arrival which was pretty excessive. Food quality was spotty some people had amazing meals and some were only so so. Terrific experience! It was our first time! The decor is funky inviting, it's a huge restaurant which is unusual in Montclair. Great bar with wonderful drink beer selections. They also have an outdoor bar patio. The staff is top notch. They overheard my husband wish me happy birthday and acknowledged it in a low key way witha candle in my dessert. They also were extremely knowledgeable about all menu items, and very personable. The food was delicious! Too many choices. I had the Monday special of roasted porchetta terrific! Initially, we had difficulty being seated due to a long line at the hostess station. It was frustrating to hear others arguing about reservations when all we wanted was to be seated as we did have a reservation. Once we were finally seated, it took half an hour to receive our first round of cocktails. However, after that, everything was great. The food came out promptly and was delicious. The service also improved as the evening went on.
The Crosby held a private event on June 9, 2018 which happened to be my son's wedding, and The Crosby's first wedding. It was absolutely sensational! Shout out to Krenar, the Manager, as well as to the staff. All the guests (over 100 people) raved about the ambience, food, cocktails, and service Thank you all for making the day as good as it could get!

The Crosby continues its decline from it’s opening. The menu changes haven’t been favorable, the staff is off-putting almost as if they’re doing us a favor by existing — and the noise is off the charts. This restaurant begs for one of the CNBC shows to come in and show them a few ways to run better.
What a beautiful place nestled in the heart of Montclair.. Excellent food and service with a smile! Just might be my new favorite place to eat! Yummy
Waiter took a while to get to the table and food took long to come out. Otherwise ok. Music was super loud so you couldn’t hear others speak.
The bartenders were not good. We had an unpleasant experience with a mouse running around our table while we were trying to enjoy our meal.

I ordered the cauliflower flatbread, and am still thinking about it 3 days later. Love the ambiance and the service was good.
This restaurant is fantastic! The food is superb and the ambiance is excellent.
