that was a good pub restaurant before. there seems to be a bad retention and a high turnover of employees who think about management. the steak I ordered was chewing and full gristle. I said the waitress politely that she would get the manager/Koch/Barman out of the kitchen. gary, the above mentioned helicopter of all trades, seems to do the work of all, instead of managing that he has not arrived. a few minutes later the waitress asked if we would like more drinks. I explained that I wanted to solve the problem first with my meal and she went back to the kitchen. finally gary arrived and in a very condesctive way explained that rib auge steak has some fat in it. I am aware of the sibling th...

We visited the restaurant tonight for dinner and were highly impressed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the menu offered a wide variety of choices, including all the classic pub dishes. We started with the homemade chicken liver pate, which was delicious. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the ribeye steak, commenting on its quality and perfect cooking. I had the seabass with Mediterranean vegetables, which was also very tasty. We regretted not having room for dessert, as everything sounded tempting. The bill for appetizers, mains, and drinks was surprisingly affordable. We will definitely be returning soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay here. Gary, the proprietor, was a perfect host his staff very pleasant helpful. My son I were visiting my sister for dinner the food was delicious. My sister had liver, onions mash, my...son had the de luxe burger I had gammon, chips, egg, pineapple peas. All dishes were tasty, huge portions all cost under My son I shared a twin room which was ideal. for bed breakfast. There was a good choice of a cooked breakfast; we had bacon, scrambled egg, toast tea. Once again, a sizeable portion. If we get the chance, we will certainly stay here, again. Many thanks to Gary staff

Our order was taken by a grey haired man who never showed us a menu and was quite abrupt. The young lad behind the bar checked we’d ordered drinks so they arrived but an hour later, no food. Other people had starters, desserts and lunches...in this time. When we queried it was obvious our order had never reached the kitchen! We were then told that we would have to wait for vegetables to be cooked. This was on a Sunday when only roast lunches were available. Really? We paid for drinks and left. Avoid unless you’ve got a few hours to waste!! Book a table now

it wasn't a whole house for a Friday night. but I can't believe why it should have been dragged on the knees! Schmashing food and very affordable. my wife had the fish and chips for nearby pubs would...recharge for a smaller inferior product. I had to try them when they looked. I went for the mixed grill or should I say a meat plate for four! I couldn't owe it. I have already told some of my friends that we missed a trick by not eating here. next week will go again at a certain time and look forward to a regular publication.

The service was very good, and nothing was too much trouble, we were even lent a phone charger lead as I'd left mine at home. Meal was lovely, with a home-made dessert. All staff we engaged with were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Book a table now
