Had a lovely one night stay on a Monday night, we were thoroughly charmed by the place. They weren't doing food on a Monday night (and emailed us ahead to let us know) so we nipped down the road for dinner, but made sure to come back for a drink here. The pub itself has a fire, lots of nooks and crannys and it's very comfortable. Good range of drinks. The room was very clean and hotel like, inc en suite. The breakfast room was beautiful (pictured) and the breakfast was excellent juice, hot drinks, continental and cooked all included in the price (inc vege option and things like egg benedict). Helpful staff and would definitely stay again

delicious, but expensive. I had the Moroccan lamb with sweet potato and quinoa. tender, juicy, spicy, fragrant, delicious! the part was simply nice for my Asian appetit, which means that it is a bit too little for those who need more. my wife had the little fish and chips, and she loved the very fresh haddock. the quantity is about the same as my Moroccan lamb, which means that those who need better order the larger portion.

characterful pub, the front beer garden is a beautiful location with views of the river. there is a very good beer selection with local ales. I think they have something to do with eating, nothing is true, but nothing really special. great place for a pint after a walk. dogs allowed

welcoming country pub with immaculate, comfortable rooms, hot water whispers in the bathroom with good shower and excellent dining served in the bar. the breakfast options were varied with a lot to eat for hungry hikers. many nice going close, so hopefully we will be back too long.
