This lovely pub, located in a charming village, has become my favorite spot since I moved here 6 weeks ago. I have been enjoying their delicious Roast beef every Sunday, which simply melts in your mouth. Pete, the chef, is truly amazing. During the week, I have been working my way through the menu and every dish has been delightful, even the salads (and I am not usually a fan of rabbit food). The couscous is especially tasty. I must also mention the fantastic Rothschild wine vinegar they offer, which is not commonly found in pubs. I keep coming back for more. The landlady, Carly, is wonderful and her warm smile always makes me feel welcome. What more could you ask for?

We have often wondered what this pub was like as we drove by, but the entrance is quite difficult to see until you are passing. Make the effort as we did though! The building is interesting with interesting nooks and the staff are welcoming and helpful. The menu gives good variety without being overwhelming. Our choices were well served and perfectly cooked and presented. Beer is excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and enhances the meal. The toilets are modern, well maintained and spotlessly clean. Recommended! Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Beef Burger, Fish Chips and Peas, Scampi Chips and Peas
Warm welcome in a lovely dog friendly establishment. Went in for a pint and light lunch after a wander around the picturesque village of Long Crendon food was great and fresh (also the best chips I have had in ages! a nice touch is that smaller portions are available for anyone, not just kids. The second time we’ve had a roast dinner at the 8 Bells and it’s by far the best around. It’s plentiful, so rich in flavour and the beef is so tender you could cut it with a spoon. Great atmosphere, superb Guinness and a lovely cosy pub. Being critical the clearing of empties could’ve been more efficient but it didn’t affect us having a lovely afternoon and meal. Great Local Pub selection of well kepy local beers (usually 3 changing regularly. Really good quality food the Sunday Roast is one of the best I've had (and London based family agreed! This cozy small pub is popular among locals for its friendly service and inexpensive drinks. The food is typical pub fare, but the atmosphere is welcoming and there are a few outdoor tables to enjoy when the sun is shining. It's a great spot to catch a Fulham or Chelsea game, but otherwise it's just a friendly local pub that gets quite lively on Friday nights.
Excellent Quality Value. I took my cycling group to the 8 Bells for Sunday Lunch they really looked after us. Thanks! We will definitely be visiting again Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
