Phuong Tran and I are invited to lunch here and we are greeted by Owner Tamlin. Walking to our table, I like the warm feel of this attractive restaurant. Phuong’s Passionfruit Margarita $17) and my Mango Smoothie $6) are refreshing. We peruse the interesting Lunch Menu and order three Share Plates and one Main. <br/ *Lemongrass Calamari $16.50) is tossed through a fresh fennel chilli salad. We found the Florist Kitchen Wine Bar tucked away on Turbot St, near the Brisbane courts and 400 George St precinct, and were instantly drawn in by the fairy lights, modern romantic interiors and, let 's be honest, the premise of it being a 'wine bar '. We opted to sample a number of share dishes as our main meal and boy are we glad we did! We honestly couldn 't fault a single thing we tried and were truly blown away by how flavoursome, well balanced and thought out the dishes were. Plus, the share plate menu is extensive and features a dedicated vegetarian section. Dishes we tried included: crispy fried chicken with tahini mayo, sprout salad and toasted sesame seeds, beef brisket sliders wi...
Wow absolutely wow!! Me and my family had such a lovely time at this beautiful restaurant. We felt so at home here. It has a nice warm cosy feel with brillaint food and awesome drinks on offer.<br/ <br/ I loved the variety of options they had on their menu. It had alot of my favourite foods which l got carried away ordering. My kids really enjoyed the crispy chips and crispy fried chicken. The coating on the chicken was soo delicious and it was a great start. Also tried the Lemongrass calamari which was so light and refreshing but what won my husband over was the jalapeno poppers with raspberry coulis. That coulis was soo amazing and so different. Brilliant!<br/ <br/ Of course we couldnt go...
Taking up the entire corner of the ground floor of the Santos Building, The Florist Kitchen Wine Bar is perhaps the perfect Insta-spot with its pretty pink feature wall adorned with old-school black white photos. Given that it was an unseasonably hot day, we ordered some fresh juices to cool down. The lychee, apple fresh strawberries $6.90) is a delicious option if you are in the mood for something non-alcoholic. Lunch here can be a short or long affair depending on what you desire, as the ‘street food’ section of the menu offers dishes like fish tacos $15) and an open steak sandwich with salad $17) for an express lunch, or if you prefer something fancier, then you are spoilt with options li... I sometimes find it challenging to understand the menu. I was unsure of what to order, so I chose the fish tacos, not expecting to enjoy them since nothing else on the menu really caught my eye, aside from the share options. To my surprise, the fish tacos were fantastic! It was definitely worth stepping out of my comfort zone and trying something new. I would describe the menu as somewhat innovative; it's not overly adventurous but offers interesting twists on classic dishes. I dined with a large group, and everyone was pleased with their meals. However, the drink selection was limited, mainly featuring boutique or less mainstream brands, which might not be to everyone’s taste.
Having not worked at the courts for quite a few years now, it is now all the way at the other end of town from my current workplace. As such, I've not been able to fully explore the legal precinct of Brisbane as much as I would have liked to, especially the evolution of the food options in the area. One such restaurant which I didn't get to try when I used to work nearby is The Florist Kitchen and Wine Bar, situated along Turbot Street, near the Commonwealth Law Courts. I was lucky enough to receive an invite last week to try it out, so we headed there for a quick Wednesday night dinner after work.
Last week, we had the pleasure of visiting The Florist Kitchen Wine Bar, situated on Turbot Street in Brisbane, right in the heart of the legal district. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it a convenient spot for the local workforce. The venue also features a full bar and live entertainment, providing a perfect way for employees to unwind after a long day. Interestingly, as suggested by its name, the restaurant not only serves delicious meals but also sells flowers, which adds a unique touch to the overall experience.
The restaurant is a bit hard to find. We went for a quick dinner on Thursday night. Waitresses are friendly, and food is tasty. We ordered fry chicken, lemongrass calamari and char cheese. Flavor is good, the only issue is the portion of our Fry chicken. It is like a fry chicken strip salad, with tiny pieces chicken on the top. Otherwise fabulous meal. Book a table now
After a long day in the office (for my girlfriend, anyway) we decided to take ourselves out to a little inner-city dining treat. We were having a craving for a nice steak, and the T-bone on the menu sounded very promising . . List:ºBerry MuleºBotanical CrushºBahamas Lychee.
