I took my wife and son who has disability to this pub for lunch. It was a very unpleasant experience. Initially i had to wait for about 10 minutes at the bar to be served as they had a problem with their draught cider. Not a problem, they took our order and we sat down waiting for our meal. After another 30 minute wait, the family on the table next to us were given their meals and yet they arrived after us. We asked where our food was. The waiter apologised and quickly bought our food. We asked for tomato sauce and we were given a bottle that was basically empty. (See photo!! . The family on an adjoining table gave us their sauce bottle. When another waiter asked how the meal was, I told her...

I arrived after a long walk with 2 dogs so was looking for a shady spot. There were at least 5 sun umbrellas lying on the floor, but all were broken and unusable. Ordered some food and drinks on the app, got the drinks quickly but the food took a while, we were told this is because there’s only one chef. 3 dishes were ordered on the app, and I made sure to select the option where they all would come with starters so we got everything together. The (overcooked) sticky crispy chicken arrived with some inedible old salad on the side, with my partner’s scallops. Very poor quality and small sizes for both, and no cheese sauce to go with the scallops. After waiting a few minutes for the 3rd dish t...

Came in on Sunday for roast for my birthday. Food was terrible, cauliflower cheese was undercooked, and, to be honest looked microwaved. Yorkshire pudding was so hard I cut it and it flung off my plate. I ordered the veggie roast, my partner the beef, he ordered a side of beef dripping potatoes and they were divided on both our plates as when I complained that the potatoes were brown after the meal the manager told me that’s because they were beef dripping ones…. On my vegetarian roast. Not happy at all. I did speak to our waitress who got the manager but she wasn’t interested and gave us £4 off the bill. Our waitress was serving the people behind us and whilst they were looking at the menu...

Went to The Flying Fox last night 16/11/2023. The environment was nice and clean, and it was very welcoming. The manager on duty was very polite. However, the service was slow. The meals that we ordered were very underwhelming when served up. There wasn’t any garnish on the plate. I ordered the ribeye steak, which was delicious. However, the restaurant had ran out of ‘homemade onion rings.’ I just had half a tomato, and I wasn’t offered anything to replace the missing onion rings. For near £22.00 I expected more. My husband and son had the Hunters Chicken which tasted delicious. However, again, no garnish or vegetables. I think that the head chef Fiona and her team, need to revise the menu a... Half of the menu was unavailable. Staff chatting at the end of the bar. No ice. And this was £23 served with broccoli instead of green beans and no red wine jus. This really isn’t the Vintage Inn experience we are used to at other venues. I did think it odd how quiet the place was on a Saturday night, but after visiting it made total sense. The 5 star reviews are being left by people with zero previous reviews very suspicious.

Visited recently and the food was of low quality standards unfortunately was not a good experience. Onion rings burnt to the max and mash potato was cold and had a skin on it. Other customers on the opposite table were also complaining when they was not offered the menu or drinks and had to eventually go to the bar. There was no spring onion in the mash at all. Very slow service overall wouldn’t visit again.

I came to the pub first time with my father and I. Came for some lunch and was very welcoming. Staff very polite and positive. We ordered the signature burgers and quite frankly was one of the best burgers I’ve had. Food came fairly quickly too has a very good family friendly atmosphere around the pub. 10/10 food and 10/10 service. Definitely visiting again and would 100% recommend to friends and family!

Huge hair in the food from the very first bite and clearly not from anyone in our party. Completely ruined my boyfriends birthday meal. Onion ring was just fried grease, no filling. Chips undercooked and just overall poor quality food. Generally, the quality and standard of this pub has decreased massively, which is such a shame. Many improvements to be made. Book a table now
