I have waited quite a long time to go to Claridges as I am not in London often, but a friend and I make the trip annually to try afternoon tea at one of the big establishments and then review them. Firstly, despite trying to book afternoon tea 3 months ago I was told they were fully booked for afternoon tea but we could have the lunch menu instead. I was disappointed by this and even more so when I got there today to find people either side of me having afternoon tea. I love coming here! The staff are exceptional. From the manager George (Indian) to the wait staff: Maggie, Peter, Georgio, Jean-Luca, Isaak, Mimi, Anita, Emily, Irina, Omar, Cutton... just a lovely lovely bunch of people. Personable, insightful, effervescent and really welcoming, especially as a long time customer. I never feel judged, I'm treated with respect, kindness and met with the same energy I put out. Hospitality like this is VERY RARE and I couldn't recommend Claridges enough. I was incredibly impressed with the reservations team at Claridge’s. They graciously and professionally helped me reschedule my afternoon tea both over the phone and via email. As a solo diner at The Foyer Reading Room, I felt well taken care of by Michael and Leo. They were both gentle, caring, and charming, taking the time to explain the dishes and engage in conversation. I fulfilled a long held ambition and attended for Afternoon Tea on Friday 1 September. My experience more than lived up to expectations, from the moment I entered the hotel everyone I encountered went out of their way to make me feel welcome and special. The Foyer is a true art deco masterpiece and is such an elegant venue, however the true stars are the staff who although very busy, delivered a first class service. Been coming to claridges a lot over the past few months it’s my new favourite haunt while I am in London. First time in this part of the hotel. Staff are fantastic so polite and welcoming. I am a very casual dressed person so I’m in jeans, hoodie and trainers and I was still treated very nicely (compared to a lot of other London hotels where this would not happen). Got sat in a nice little corner of the restaurant which is what I asked for. The food was fantastic and the staff you cannot fault at all. The experience you get for what you pay is worth every single penny. Got given a for box of fudge ton my way out by the amazing waiter. Can’t wait to come back.
Arrived to a buzzing Claridges to enjoy some afternoon tea! A friendly warm welcome on arrival. We were a pair of greedy guests and did not say no to offers of more delicious sandwiches and scones! Tea was also replenished regularly, we had several pots! The team were super friendly and we had a good laugh with them. We did enjoy a look around the hotel and I must say everyone we encountered was so friendly and welcoming! Sometimes very grand hotels can be stuffy, not at Claridges!! What a wonderful time we had in Claridges and thank you to the team for making our day so special!
Enjoyed a fantastic lunch in The Foyer and Reading Room. The staff were friendly, polite and very attentive. This is our 'go to ' restaurant when visiting London. The food was delicious and the ambience wonderful. We then enjoyed drinks and desserts in Claridges Bar. Again our waiter was excellent couldn 't do enough for us. George stopped and chatted to us for a while about the hotel which was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon.
WAAAAY overpriced, totally average experience. Drinks nowhere near good enough for the prices being charged. Can't help but feel taken for a ride, they seem to be exploiting the good name of the hotel to overcharge for a sub-par experience. Happy to pay when it's worth it, this definitely was not.

We went for some drinks on Saturday night, very impressed from the excellent service and the very friendly staff. Claridge’s is one of my favourites places is central London!
They are so friendly and caring. It’s a pleasure visiting.
