drove this morning on my way to drop my daughter on college, and saw the sign outside for full english for £4.95 so went back to home took my wife up and went back. so pleased that we, 3 sausages, 2 thick ruffles of speck, 1 fried egg perfectly cooked, borons, tomatos, mushroom, toast and butter, additional pot tee, perfect! my wife had double eggs on toast! will come back soon! staff very care and friendly, top brands
I am so happy that this lovely little pub has reopened. I went yesterday evening for a quick drink and ended up staying for dinner. I was so pleased with the steak, which was cooked to perfection like everything else I tried. The staff is wonderful and the new management company is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend stopping by for a visit and a bite to eat. The menu is great and the prices are fabulous.
return after a few years. was so glad I did. the atmosphere was amazing. great to see the manager I knew about an old pub I visited. patrick the owner didn't talk to us either. the chef has supplied with food. both the burger and the sandwich were excellent. they even served us at pudding. what they usually don't do too much! I highly recommend that they come to the george at wilby. they will not be disappointed!
Popped over yesterday lunchtime with the dog weather was glorious, so we sat in the garden and it was idyllic! Staff were friendly, attentive and very welcoming, which added to the lovely atmosphere. The menu was limited as it was a quiet lunchtime so we had burgers it was lovely (well presented and very tasty loved the wedges! . I was last night in the george gas house, the room was nice and warm, the staff was great, they had a great band at and it was busy, not sure what happened past 11 clock, how the brandy kicked! and to complete everything, I had a great frit up this morning, recommended and would return deffo
This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. We enjoyed a lovely lunch with very friendly service. It was a pleasant surprise to receive complimentary tea, something you don't usually see in other places. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. We will definitely be returning.
great service with normal pub drinks and amazing cocktails that are thrown in with a view of the valley. if they want to ring before the hand, because they had no cook when we left. there were still nuts, scratches and pork.
