"Very disappointing. Went there years ago so decided to visit this high end Chinese restaurant for our wedding anniversary. Very different very bright lights, too many tables packed into a smallish area no ambience. Hubby and I couldn’t hear each other across the table as it was so noisy. Service and food was good but at £141 for a meal for 2 it should be. Won’t be going back."

We started off with some delicious Jasmine tea, served generously in a hot metal pot. We also enjoyed some Sake, served at the perfect temperature and quantity. The flavour was exceptional. For our main dishes, we ordered the quarter duck, which came with plenty of shredded meat and pancakes. We were pleasantly surprised to have leftover pancakes, unlike other restaurants. The entire team at The Good Earth is dedicated to providing top-notch service. Next, we tried the steamed sea bass, which was presented beautifully. The seasoning was perfect, and the temperature of the filleted fish was just right. It was expertly cooked, as there wasn't a single bone in sight. The egg fried rice was ser...

My spouse and I were looking for a quick and tasty lunch on Wednesday, so we decided to visit Good Earth, a restaurant we had enjoyed in the past. We were surprised by the high prices of the main courses, all exceeding £20, but decided to give it a try in hopes of receiving high-quality food. We ordered starters and a shared main dish. The spring rolls and crab and sweet corn soup were ordinary and lacking in flavor. The sweet and sour chicken was not worth the high price of £23.80 and the noodles were also disappointing at £9.80. The fruit served with the main dish was bland and unidentifiable. The overall unsatisfactory meal cost us £63.00, and we felt that the increase in prices did not m...

Definitely one of the best Chineses we have ever had. We only collect takeaways as appose to eating in but the food stays perfect in the containers they come in. Genuinely good quality when so many other takeaways sell such poor food. It is definitely on the more expensive side but the price does reflect the quality in my opinion. We have the duck starter, chicken and black bean, sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, kung pao chicken and chicken chow mein which is all consistently good. It is our go to Chinese now anytime we fancy one.

Although the service at this restaurant was excellent, the quality of the food was disappointing and the prices were extremely high. I don't mind spending money for a fantastic dining experience, but our group of four couples left feeling like we had been ripped off. The portion sizes were small, the food didn't taste very fresh, and it is worth mentioning that there are no accessible restroom facilities on the main floor, which was a major inconvenience for one member of our party.
