My son and partner are going to Australia for a long time . Without considering the quality of The Grapes purely because over the last 40 years , it’s been high standard I booked a farewell dinner I am so disappointed, the Sunday Roast was not a Sunday Roast , When you needed a drink , the bar people were non existent ! The new management took a while to realise I would like to put some money in the till ! The toilet had doors broken off , the place is so run down and tired . I’m gutted such an amazing Icon pub in Formby has been left to rot! The food cost £17 per head and was disgusting I’m so sorry to complain but it’s the worse quality, I have ever had in my life
Came in today with the partner for a Sunday roast as seen advertised on the big board outside, food was spot on staff were great, manager Chloe offered us sides of roasties yorkies for no extra charge to which we wouldn’t turn down ; Absolutely amazing booked straight in for Christmas with the family! I went to this restaurant with my two children. The food was okay, but the main issue was the high prices. The management was very disrespectful when I asked for a children's dessert. I would not recommend reaching out to the person in charge at the moment, as he seemed very stressed and quite rude, to be honest.
My family (a table of six) visited this restaurant last week and we couldn't find any faults! The staff were very accommodating and welcoming, and the food was perfect with generous portions. The menu offers a great variety of options to suit everyone's tastes. We will definitely be returning again.

A great surprise, 4 of us went in for a last minute meal, this was a great decision, this place has a very welcoming atmosphere, the staff were really pleasant, the meals could not be faulted and the service was exceptional. Thank you for a very pleasant evening.
Amazing food and we had an evening together after losing our dear nanny. Atmosphere was lovely and staff but food was just fabulous we had clean plates and full tummy's. Definitely come here again. Thank you for such a wonderful evening.
My friends and I came for the Friday night quiz at the restaurant and had a great time. We ordered some food from the small plates menu and found it to be delicious and served hot. Rob and his team are doing an amazing job!
Have to say fantastic organisation for such a big pub on Xmas day. Drinkers looked equally as well as diners. Staff couldn't do enough.All the visitors to the pub were happy and stress free. Well done all the staff.
