A wonderful hotel located on the outskirts of London. It is easily accessible from the A40 with ample parking available. The hotel is just a 15 minute walk to Sudbury Hill Underground station, with a £6 taxi fare. The journey to Green Park takes only 35 minutes, making it convenient for exploring the city. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and clean, surpassing some 4-star hotels. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are air-conditioned. The pub on site is lovely, affordable, and serves delicious breakfast and dinner. There is a flight of stairs to access the rooms, so it may not be suitable for disabled guests. Overall, a fantastic experience!

I visited with my family for lunch. I ordered the jacket potato with Tuna mayo. There was approx one tablesppon of filling and when I spoke to staff about it they said that was correct. They then spoke to the kitchen manager who I later found out had made my meal. His response was that was the correct portion was used and the staff member shrugged his shoulders. Where's the customer service? Since they have re-opened after Covid things have definitely not been the same with the food i.e the large pizza is now the size of the 8 . Very disappointing.
This was my first visit to The Greenwood Pub, and was very pleasantly surprised by the good level of service and a very decent breakfast. Having the ability to charge my phone at the table, was a real bonus, and greatly appreciated. I know there is an onsite Wetherspoon's hotel, and I'd certainly be very interested to stay there, if I lived further afield. As it is, I will recommend to others, for sure, and will be back to eat there again. Well done to all staff members, seen and unseen.
We have wanted to meet up here for a long time, family history 80+ years drinking here. We both had over an hours drive to get here, but it was worth it. The pub is amazing with a lots of original features, separate rooms for a quiet lunch or dinner. The pub has been taken over by JD Wetherspoon, a grade II listed building built in the late 1930’s...Easy to order meals drinks via their app. Well worth a visit with friendly staff..we as a family will return. There use to be a video of a barman pouring a beautiful pint of Guinness for Wetherspoon pubs and it was brilliant when you ask for a pint of Guinness now in the Greenwood it's not great, they have not been watching the training video at all, they seem to not care.plus for such a big venue staff always seem to be elusive poor service..I have decided to send Diageo into this establishment undercover so you need to up your game..
I used to live in this area a few years ago. My family and I would go to this pub for lunch once a month. The food was usually good, but today when we went after a long time, we were disappointed. We ordered fish and chips and a jacket potato, both of which were terrible. The fish was like a shoe sole and the potato was old. Additionally, the pub was not clean.
I popped into the Greenwood pub for a cheeky pint and was impressed with the prices and even more impressed with the original fixtures fittings inside this 1930s built pub. Witherspoons have done an impressive job of modernising the decor while retaining so much of the original design.
I am a regular here and I find it great value for money. Staff are friendly and any issues are resolved straight away. The food is decent and is appropriate for the money charged. It has a family vibe to it and suitable for kids. Book a table now
In general, I would give this restaurant a good rating, but they need to work on their egg frying skills in the kitchen. However, the other meals met the high standards set by Wetherspoon.
Terrible service and food. Avoid steak was cold. Drinks was like drinking your own pee. Is not a place to have a nice place to have a dinner. You will be embarrassed.
