excellent carvery I had mince dumpling, which was very tasty, the rest of our party tried a selection of the meats bark, pork, gammon, turkey and all were very impressed by the portioning size and tenderness, kartoffels are awesome and they can have so many yorkshire puddings they can fit on ya plate, will be back to try the very fast personal, where helpful and polite.
Just popped in for refreshments on the way home on a 10km walk when the menu seemed quite inviting... Chinese chicken curry with chips and rice was a meal to behold, delicious and large!! Was hoping to have room for the apple crumble but maybe next time, lovely welcome and excellent service and staff, definitely going back!
Friendly welcoming pub with an inclusive carvery serving very tasty and enjoyable meals. They also do a separate menu for sandwiches and lighter meals which are good as well! They do a good Sunday lunch in the pub or a drive through take away which is very good! I have no hesitation in recommending the Grey Hen!

really tasty excellent quality sunday carvery. plenty choice of veg. with massive yorkies. . can get quite busy around 1pm-2pm children size plates also available. highly recommended.
