I never expected to find such an amazing meal in a remote location, but I did. My wife and I were traveling leisurely and stumbled upon an AirBnb where the owner also ran a tavern. Intrigued, we decided to stop in for a bite to eat. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious fish dishes we ordered, which were cooked perfectly. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food. The owner, Richard, was incredibly friendly to everyone in the restaurant, demonstrating his genuine care for the food and the people who work and dine there. My wife and I are already planning our next visit to this hidden gem for another fantastic meal.
First time going and finally went cause I’ve been hearing nothing but people RAVING…best food I’ve had at a restaurant in probably my entire life. Steak was cooked so well with so much flavor and the quac..wasn’t even on the menu but the man of the hour (Mr. Morris) got it done again!! And he just winged it!!! Tasted like no quac I’ve ever had and it was sooooo flavorful!!! And I sooooo much appreciated how he sat with guests and just chatted about anything and everything! Such a down to earth place and feeling- just what northern MN should be about!! Will definitely be the place we eat out from this day forward!!
Our experience at this restaurant was not enjoyable. We arrived with a large group and were seated in a nice private room. After waiting for 40 minutes, we were informed that the internet was down and we couldn't place our order. Despite offering to pay with cash, we were told that nothing could be done. Other customers were able to eat and pay as we left. We ended up paying and leaving without eating. The owner apologized after the fact.
This restaurant is a great place to grab a meal or a drink. It served as a perfect escape during our ice fishing trip in the area. The staff was very friendly and the prices were fair. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing this place for yourself.

The restaurant is very pricey for average quality food. The owner is nice, but the bartender was unpleasant. It seemed like she was having a bad day and was drinking while working. Overall, not a good experience. Two thumbs down.
First time visiting and service was amazing and I felt like I was back home in Texas again! The atmosphere was so wholesome and welcoming. Thank you guys for a great experience. We'll definitely be back !
Food was great and everything came out quickly. Loved how the chef came out to check in on us and see how everything was tasting. My favorite thing we had was the cactus queso. It was amazing.
The service was fantastic and very welcoming! The pizza and buffalo cauliflower were amazing, and the sunset view through the pine trees created a perfect atmosphere for a lovely date night.

Honestly great food. The smoked tomato butter they put on the steaks is positively decadent!
