Tried couple of meals here over our stay, the hoisin noodles and the ‘smash burger’. The noodles were basic noodles out of a bag with chicken skewers on top covered in something resembling hoisin. The smash burgers were horrendous nothing remotely close to a smash burger. I’ve had better burgers out of a dodgy burger van on the side of a motorway. They had an after taste and smell that was disgusting, I couldn’t work it out until I read another persons review. They are not beef they are ham, reminds me of 20/30 years ago when you would ask for a hamburger in Spain and literally get a ham-burger. We visited The Hive at Ribby Hall for lunch on Friday afternoon. The service was lovely, and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, both my mother-in-law and I became quite unwell over the weekend. We had different chicken dishes, and this was the only meal we had eaten that day, which has led us to suspect there may have been an issue with the food. We also felt it was worth mentioning that neither of our meals was served hot and, in fact, they were not even warm when they arrived at the table. Went for breakfast but can't comment on the evening meals. Breakfast was great, better than I expected, nothing greasy everything was hot and really good quality as well, really nice bacon and sausage and just a really great breakfast and a generous portion too. There were two waitresses working that we saw who both fantastic and attentive even though it was getting busier. We ordered using the QR system which is a doodle, my only gripe is you ask for a tip before the customer has even got any kind of service which sort of defeats the purpose of tipping. We were a party of four, ordering only mains. Two arrived, after 15 minutes had to ask for the other two. My friend and I ordered the peri peri chicken with cajun dusted fries. It had to be frozen chicken strips from a bag with a few anaemic chips. For 17 pounds. All meals were dreadful.
Scrambled eggs rubbish and dry, Pancakes even worse, Full english breakfast was simply disappointing and all overpriced. You lot should not be proud of what you are serving. We had a friendly and helpful waitress but this doesnt make up a crap meal.
Food is a bit of a joke. Got hot spicy wings and they'd just had sriracha dumped on top. The nachos were topped with sour cream and very cheap cheese sauce before being covered in cayenne powder. Just super lazy cooking.

Best place I have ever been !! Service is a 5 , atmosphere is a 5 , food is definitely a 5!!!
