This was my first visit to this restaurant after wanting to try it for a year, and I'm glad I finally made it. Finding good Jamaican food in Michigan can be a challenge, but this place really delivered. I ordered the Jerk Chicken meal with extra oxtail sauce. The chicken was fantastic, and the oxtail sauce added a unique flavor that pleasantly surprised me. The meal also included rice and beans, cabbage, and plantains. I just wish there were more plantains—next time, I’ll definitely order extra since the combo only includes about half a plantain. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience!
I was really disappointed with my recent experience. They forgot our plantains, and when I tried to call to resolve the issue, I couldn't get through. We don't live nearby, so it was frustrating. Additionally, I ordered an XL portion but only received four oxtails, which is usually a decent serving for the $28 I spent. I expected more. When I returned to ask about it, they didn't even check my order. I think I'll need to take a break from going there after this second disappointment. Please improve your phone service and attention to orders.
We ordered the oxtail and jerk chicken dinners, and both were absolutely delightful! The flavors were fantastic and very satisfying. When we arrived, the restaurant was a bit cozy, but don’t let that deter you. The jerk oxtail was even better than the traditional version!
I just left the restaurant, and the person taking orders was quite rude. There’s nothing worse than poor customer service. When I’m spending my hard-earned money, I expect to be welcomed warmly, not treated disrespectfully. The food was good, but I likely won’t come back.

Oh my goodness!!! The plantains are amazing—super moist with a great texture, and you can tell they let them ripen before frying! I also really loved the shrimp curry and banana bread. If you're a fan of Caribbean food, you absolutely need to check this place out!
I absolutely love the meat patties as a pre-dinner snack! Oxtails are my favorite for the main course. Overall, I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars!
