We were one of their first customers and watched as the business grew and staff forgot how to treat customers in nice polite way, told by owner that she is there not there to impress customers. With that attitude is no wonder we feel it has lost its way. You expect a Coffee House to have trained barista, but they serve the worst coffees in Arbroath (I’ve tried them all). Food is lacking in taste and quality, presentation is very simplistic, you would be hard pressed to find any healthy alternative. Nice complicated cakes used to be there trade mark that has gone and you have been left with simple every day cakes that you and I could make.

Visiting the area again and couldn't resist popping in to try their new dirty fries. Spoiler: They are good. Decided to stop for lunch and save the cakes for later. Fast efficient service from the staff when we wanted to order, even going to double check before we ordered that some of the order had been delivered. The food was ready quickly even though there were a few of us and was delicious. I would definitely recommend the dirty fries. After lunch we were too full for cake so got them to take out. When we took them home, the slices were that big we had to split them between two. As expected amazing.

I love the Koko Bean. The girls are friendly and are always willing to go that extra mile to get you what you want. The choice is great and there are always new things being added to the menu. A huge bonus is takeout. I'd highly recommend the fajita fries, stovies, soup and a sandwich and all the cakes, especially the cheesecake. If your looking for a little bit of decadence order a chocolate salted caramel loaf... chocolate sponge soaked in salted caramel sauce topped in a chocolate ganache and decorated with many different chocolates...total bliss.

I was visiting the area and decided to pop into here for a quick coffee. They had friendly staff, good coffee and a decent range of cake. We all had something different and couldn't resist buying something to take away. Now I follow them on facebook and cant wait for my next visit. Book a table now

This is a very welcoming place to visit, and the staff are extremely helpful. I accidentally left my cakes behind, and the owner went out of their way to deliver them to me late at night. My fellow golfers really enjoyed them.

The service at this restaurant is fantastic! The staff is friendly and helpful, making it the perfect spot to meet up with friends. The food is excellent, especially the crispy bacon rolls.

My wife, granddaughter, and I like to visit this café every Friday for soup and sandwiches, as well as some delicious homemade cake that my granddaughter always looks forward to.
