My husband and I stumbled across this little gem at the end of our cycle route from London and oh my what a treat! Brilliant place to have food and recharge. From the phone call I made to find out if they were serving food all the way to the goodbye everything and everyone was flawless! It’s been very hard on the hospitality industry after Covid and most pubs and restaurants are still struggling to deliver standard of service and food quality! This place deserves a medal! I have a fond memory of visiting this pub nearly 20 years ago when my kids were little, and our recent return was fantastic. We had the option to dine in the garden and choose between the pub menu or the BBQ hut. The starters arrived quickly and were enjoyable. Three of us opted for the BBQ, while one had a halloumi burger from the pub menu. The BBQ brisket burger from the hut was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth, accompanied by delicious fries and a generous portion of coleslaw. The halloumi was huge and satisfying. I've been a regular visitor for over 20 years, and my experience with two friends last Saturday did not disappoint. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was extraordinary, as always. The staff were friendly and efficient from start to finish, making a special fuss over my friend since it was her birthday dinner. I can't recommend this pub highly enough. Looking forward to returning soon! x
Awful women behind that bar was rude and accused us of lying, our food was served by a random person as there was no available to bring the food to our table worst service I’ve ever experienced.
