My wife and i popped in whilst visitibg the area. We sat at a table and was asked what we would like to drink. My wife ordered a latte and myself a cappuccino. We both ordered a breakfast as it states on the menu that coffee is included in the price. The breakfast arrived and it was very good. After finishing i went to the counter to pay for our breakfasts, and noticed the total price charged was much dearer than it should have been. When i queried this with the server i was told it was because my wife and i had a cappuccino and a latte with our breakfasts, only instant coffee is included in the price of a breakfast. I’m quite surprised at reading some of the other reviews here, as they bore no resemblance to our experience. I understand the Turkish owners have been there a year now so some reviews clearly belong to a different owner. We had the best mug of tea I’ve tasted in a cafe in years! Our omelettes and chips were cooked perfectly. The prices seem reasonable to what we see on our frequent travels. I would add that the place was absolutely spotless which is always a bonus. It was a quiet day when we visited and the lady was busy polishing everything that didn’t move.
Decidedly average. Daughter had mushroom omelette, which according to her was tasteless, husband had a standard fried egg sandwich and I asked for a jacket potato with tuna and melted cheese on top, I got a jacket potato with just melted cheese so requested it, it came back had with a side of tuna (it was more a case of mayonnaise with some tuna in it). Finished with apple pie and custard. This was decent. All in all overpriced for what it was Nice friendly staff.

We go to this restaurant often for breakfast and lunch. The service is always excellent and friendly, and the food is perfect - freshly cooked, hot, and high quality. They offer a variety of dishes from breakfast to roasts to other dinners. I especially enjoy being able to indulge in liver and onions, a dish my husband refuses to eat at home. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting St Ives who wants great service and food.
The food is tasty and the staff are good friendly, however a recent price rise is well above inflation. The set breakfast I had has risen by £1.40 and has been reduced by no longer including a hot drink in the price and has one slice of toast less. I noticed the lamb chops (an occasional treat) have risen by over £4. Four stars reflects the excessive price rise and portion reductions.
I purchased two babychinos for my grandchildren from this cafe and was horrified to be charged £2.80 each, the same price as their speciality coffees. This is an extortionate amount and I have never been charged more than £1 in any other cafe. I won't be going there again. We were the only customers perhaps that says something!!
I frequently visit the Local Cafe in St Ives and Huntingdon. They have a wide menu selection and the food is consistently good. The staff are extremely friendly and the service is always fast. The portion sizes are generous and I have never been disappointed. They are also willing to accommodate our picky family's preferences.

I thought the breakfast was good, eggs nicely cooked not snotty n raw on top or hard, the sausage was nice too too. Nice cafe and clean we found staff to be friendly. The only downside is the breakfasts are expensive but does include a regular coffee or tea.
Called in for a bacon sandwich. disappointed with the staff who seemed un interested and bored. the food lacked flavour. Prices higher than they should be for a lack lustre place. will not be going again.
