Wow. I was kicked out for "doing drugs" in the toilets. Not only was I looking after my intoxicated friend who then left afterwards, I was accused of doing drugs? Grow up guys, be ashamed of yourselves for ruining my perfectly good night and one of my closest friends 21st birthday parties. Not only was I NOT intoxicated OR on drugs, you kicked me out. I cooperated with the laws of RSA. You kicked me out. You accused me of "skulling" a drink at the bar. NONE of which happened. Avoid this bar for any sort of function if you'd like to stay past 10:30pm.
We reserved the sports bar area for drinks after our wedding and it was perfect! All of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how nice the staff were. We had been for dinner and had a drink at several venues over time looking for the perfect place and as soon as we walked into The Market Hotel we knew it was the one! Food was delicious, the staff were really friendly and easy to deal with and the atmosphere was amazing. Can't recommend this venue highly enough for a function, casual drink or dinner!
Stayed in an apartment on Clarendon street, visiting our friends in Melbourne for their wedding. We were very tired after 21 hours on a plane from the UK and stumbled up on this spotThey were about to close but were Very accommodating Most of us had tacos and I had a chicken parmagiana which was lovely Was also our first taste of fat yak pale ale! Great find!

Definitely not food service chicken parmigiano, clearly prepared with care in house. Topped with shaved prosciutto and boccinci, accompanied by an enjoyable coleslaw and chips in a pleasant pub environment attended by helpful staff.
Went there to enjoy the music and the vibe of a refurbished hotel. The Market Hotel delivers in both the great music as well as the vibe of the lounge area. Great taps, soaring roof and plenty of local attending. Good night out!

The venue is amazing, very warm and inviting. We had a great night out with a few espresso martini rounds and some share plates to keep us going. The staff were very attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Great Parma!!! Good wine and great atmosphere for the Grand Final. Well done Doggies!!!!! Hung around to watch the presentation and the band ended up being really good!
Good Aussie pub with Parma's and ice cold beer. What more could you want? Meals have been good quality and quick.
