As the title of my review says good service but let down by the star of the show the food. Our waiter was very attentive and explained the menu very well. He tried to steer us towards the banquet option but as we all...had differing ideas we ordered separately. My partner and i started with the trio of tips. The dips were lovely but the bread felt like it was just out of a packet you would by at the supermarket which was a real let down. For our mains we ordered several individual Mezat and again nothing really hit the mark. They were nice enough but nothing that left you wanting more. I went on Sunday dinner in melbourne when the weather was dark outside. it was so beautiful and almost cozy inside! eammon immediately helped us and he was so friendly! After we have explained our options, we have chosen to try the banquet. young, you get a lot of bang for your ass at byblos! nice eating, generous portions and it remained. we spent a few hours eating, drinking and chatting and felt no pressure to hurry. we will definitely return to byblos.
having been to Byblos on previous occasions , in both Brisbane and Melbourne , I am happy to report the food and service continues to draw me back time after time . I enjoy the freshness of the food and the wonderful service . Have...never left Byblos feeling under-fed or disappointed ..
Byblos is a “Must Do” in Melbourne. It’s in a great position on the quieter side of the river but still quite central. The food is fantastic and the service is perfect with just the right amount of cheeky! I highly recommend Byblos to anyone...who loves food!

so many decisions! too hard to decide, so we decided to make the bankett. the food was delicious and tasteful. a long decadent lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. the staff was friendly and attentive, without being annoying. we're coming back!
