This is the experience I had before during and after my slip and fall with the Melting Pot and their insurance company Erie Insurance. How are you going to deny a claim based on what YOU feel someone is familiar with? How can you talk for me and tell me what I 'm familiar with? From beginning to end, our experience at The Melting Pot was so disappointing. In our waiter 's own words, it was a sh*t show . We order two bottles of nice wine, the waiter brought out two bottles of much cheaper wine (that was not even on the menu), tried to say they were comparable, and then charged us the price of the nice wine anyway. We tried to get beer but, the lines were frozen . When we tried to use the restroom, they were both closed due to flooding. It took FOREVER to get each of our courses. Made advanced reservation a day ahead of time for opening time of 4PM. After a 10-minute wait after being first in the door at 4 we arrived at our table. Didn 't see a server for 10 more minutes to order drinks which was simply 2 waters. Waited 10 more minutes to order and since we have been to the Melting Pot before we gave DEVON M (a female server) our entire order for the cheese, salads, we skipped the entree portion, and our chocolate desert. Server was great! Atmosphere was cozy. Kind of Smokey at times from people burning food in other areas of the restaurant. I was worried fire alarm was going to go off. But must have adequate ventilation System. Bourbon bacon cheese we only ate a little bit of. It tasted acidic or bitter. I’m not sure if I tasted any bacon. The dippers were satisfactory. We’ve been several times the last few years and since they’ve added the cast iron grill, it’s even better! When I called early in the day and asked about getting my free birthday strawberries (Join Club Fondue!: I was told it was too late, 24 hour notice is required. I had one of my worst dining experiences ever here tonight, all without getting to even taste the food. I made dinner reservations on January 21st through The Melting Pot's website for my wife and I to have a late Valentine's Day celebration tonight. I received no less than 3 confirmations of my reservation, including one 30 minutes prior to the time. My wife and I showed up at the reservation time and were told that the restaurant could not accommodate us. The concept was a real winner: a dining experience to be remembered! Even the one member of the group who is a very picky eater had a great time and was able to pick and choose! Loved, loved, lived the cheese fondue, especially! We had surf and turf in broth, and I heartily recommend it for thise eho don’t need the extra calories of oil or wine for dipping. Am not a big fan of peanutbutter, nor of peanutbutter and chocolate, but that’s the desset the rest of the group wanted- the peanutbutter did not overrun the flavor of the chocolate, and I especially liked dipping the pinapple and pound cake!

We had never been before and it was a 10 out of 10 experience. Our waitress and the bartender were amazing. We did not realize how much food you actually get. It was such a fun time to cook the food and enjoy the fondue. I would highly recommend for a date night! It is my new favorite restaurant :
