When I walked in I was greeted by a friendly dog called max who couldn’t have been more happy to see me! I went to order my food at the bar and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. I ordered the homemade steak pie and when it came to me I was told that it was incredibly fresh out of the oven so I was told to let it cool down. This was one of the best pies I had ever eaten! When I left I had even been greeted by the same dog who I found out was called max so I gave him a treat and left. A great restaurant, would definitely eat here again!
I really enjoyed a lovely lunch at the millstone with my partner and friends. The staff were excellent and more than happy to help. They had a wide variety of gins to choose from the bar maid was more than happy to offer there most popular choices and seemed to know the fine pretty well. The food was gorgeous and I will definitely be returning for lunch again. It was lovely to notice that the pub offeres themed parties for anyone to attend and I think it’s a great idea for people to get to know new people. Thanks for the lovely meal and excellent company
I had an amazing night out with friends to celebrate a special occasion at this restaurant. The atmosphere was fantastic, the menu had a wide variety of options, and the food was outstanding when it arrived! The king prawns with garlic and chili were delicious, and the 'Mexican Snowballs' (jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese) were the best I've ever had in the UK. The staff were attentive and overall, it was a fantastic evening. I can't wait to go back, it's definitely worth traveling a bit further for if it's not in your area!
The extremely attractive chef, Paul, serves up the most delicious tapas I've ever had. The variety is excellent and the steak on the stone was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere and customer service are fantastic. The parking at The Millstone is very convenient. I will definitely be returning - this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Thank you!

Visited with friends at the last minute, siyuated on the outskirts of Newton-Le-Willows it is lovely and clean with some excellant beers Lagers on tap, well worth a visit for either a nice meal or just a quiet beer, it has seating at the front and side of the pub which would be ideal for the summer, Meals are well priced with a good menu.
I dined at this restaurant with friends last night. I have visited this place multiple times in the past and the food has always been consistently good. My friends ordered the Tapas and I had the Steak on the stone. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Be careful if you’re planning on going here for a meal as they don’t do food anymore but have never updated their website. (Glad I phoned and checked)
