Although I cannot criticize the quality of the food or service, I am bothered by the presence of the free-roaming, very friendly dogs that seem to live on the premises. They approached our table to see if we had any food for them, and when other dogs (off leash) came in with their owners, there was a chaotic scene that would be more appropriate in a park rather than next to me while I am trying to enjoy a cake.
This restaurant is a charming spot to enjoy lunch or a coffee and cake. The lunch menu is creative and the cakes are fantastic, although it's hard to choose between the two! The restaurant always seems to be bustling when we visit, and it's a bonus that they are dog friendly. After our meal, we usually take a stroll through the garden centre next door, which has a variety of unique and intriguing plants.
The cake was very hard, clearly baked and stored in the freezer. The coffee was awful. The service was alright, but there were a lot of employees watching you in the restaurant. The chef was visible behind the counter in their white uniform instead of in the kitchen. They were too busy chatting and not focused on serving, so I ended up leaving without getting the items I wanted.
A nice place for a relaxing stop, particularly if the weather's nice and you can sit outside at the back. Food and coffee are good, but a bit pricey. Annoying that you can't order without a table number if you sit inside; although they probably do this as the eating areas are separate (in the summer at least). Book a table now
The menu seemed to have become far more varied and therefore more appealing to us. Burgers very good. Service pleasant and helpful. Walks delightful and very well maintained. Outside toilets seemed to have been upgraded. Really enjoyable visit on beautiful day.
Called in for a coffee and a cake, The cake was rock hard you had to chew before you could swallow, I found the prices really expensive you wouldn’t won’t to take a family of four to eat here, It was clean and the staff friendly, But sorry very expensive.
Great place to meet friends with ample free parking and shopping too! Nice fresh quiche and salad but disappointed many items on menu weren’t available.
Stopped off on the way home from a holiday for a quick bite- we shared the charcuterie board and it was lovely! Filling as well as tasty! Book a table now
The most amazing breakfast, 4 of us went there got a lot more than we bargained for. A wonderful experience. Will be back!
