We decided to skip the crowded cafe at Eilean Donna Castle due to the influx of tourists and drove on towards Skye Bridge. After the first roundabout, we found ourselves in Kyleakin and stumbled upon Nice Cafe and Bookstore. The cafe was visually appealing with colorful decor, staff photographs, and art projects adorning the walls. The staff were attentive and friendly. We enjoyed the delicious homemade soup and scones, which change daily on the three days the cafe is open. The coffee was the best I've had in Scotland. Additionally, we purchased three interesting used books from their Scottish bookshelf.

We stumbled upon this restaurant without knowing how charming it was. We thought we would miss out because it's closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, but luckily we caught it open on Wednesday. It's a small cafe that offers employment opportunities for adults with developmental challenges, as mentioned by others. The scones and tea were fantastic, especially the treacle scones. They were a delightful new experience for me, and I almost couldn't resist ordering a second one! Highly recommend.

This restaurant is truly a must-visit. It is a cafe that is only open one day a week and is run as a community project to support adults with learning disabilities. Despite its unique setup, the service and quality of the food are outstanding. It was a delightful surprise that left me feeling cheerful as we headed back south from Kyleakin.

The cafe open only on Wednesdays and for limited time. It helps people with learning difficulties. The menu is limited and each item is delicious. We had soup and scones and everything was delicious.I think the food tastes great because of the dedication of the staff. Book a table now

Lovely staff and an excellent community project. Lovely coffee, the best in the village. Scones looked amazing but we sadly didn't get to try them this visit. More places like this are needed. Wish we had been around for lunch

Every Wednesday the cafe offers delicious home made soup and a variety of home baking. The food is always of a high standard, the people who run to cafe do a first class job and the atmosphere is always friendly and relaxing.

Great idea, supporting those with disabilities to make a living. The menu is simple but delicious. The soda bread and soup is great! Also loved the books each one a pound.
