Owner is a liar. No one yelled at anyone! FOOD IS DISGUSTING IN WANTAGH SALPINOS Check every sandwich you order. Second time this month I paid for food I didn’t get. Just picked up a roast beef hero. I requested, melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes onions. I got over cooked RB and Swiss with slabs of mayo. No condiments. Disgusting sandwich. Second time I got screwed. I ordered meatballs Parma and got chicken cutlets. I guess it Ivaronne or Primevera for me. I’m done with this place. Owner is a nasty liar. We picked up our food and realized when we got home it was wrong and disgusting. Nobody yelled at anyone. Posting in FB groups all over town too!
The food is decent, but I did experience an issue last week with their macaroni salad and egg salad, which tasted like they were past their expiration date. I've never had problems here before, so I was quite surprised. Additionally, I've noticed that the salads are not always fresh, especially the fruit. On the positive side, everything else has been good with no complaints. It seems to be a bit hit or miss with the items in the refrigerator section compared to those they serve. I hope to see improvements soon. THIS IS MY HONEST OPINION, NOT A FAKE REVIEW. THANK YOU.
I have ordered twice here and cannot get what I ask for. First time I asked for meatball parma and got chicken cutlets and they were horrible. Today I asked for homemade roast beef hero with melted Swiss, lettuce, tomatoes and onions. I got over cooked roast beef with melted Swiss cheese and mayo. That's it. One side of hero had about 3 slices. It was the worst hero ever. Jersey Mikes makes a better sandwich. Get your act together. Who ever is making sandwiches needs some training in reading and comprehension.
This is the best Italian food I've ever come across! The quality is outstanding, far exceeding that of most Italian restaurants. I usually stop by for their Italian heroes and macaroni salad, which are both fantastic, but tonight I decided to explore their dinner options. The chicken Francese was amazing, accompanied by a generous amount of delicious sauce. The stuffed shells were perhaps the most flavorful I've ever had! I absolutely adore this place and have never been let down.

I visit this place frequently, and it's absolutely my favorite. The customer service is exceptional; everyone from the deli staff to the cashiers is incredibly friendly. The food is consistently delicious and fresh! I'm currently enjoying their meatball Parmesan hero, and it’s amazing. I highly recommend this spot if you're in search of an authentic Italian market!
I’ve been a very loyal patron of this business for many years. Unfortunately, the customer service has declined considerably. Your website quotes that you take “pride in our store and always try our best to please you…..” I guess that information should be updated or removed as recent experience finds that to be misleading.
Salpino’s is the absolute best! Everyone is always so friendly and very helpful. I’ve been going to Salpino’s ever since moving to the neighborhood. I order from them for many events and holidays and they never disappoint!
