I chose the Dutch over the other nearby restaurants on a quiet Saturday evening partly because of the impression of warm simple elegance I got from looking in the door. I was greeted in a friendly way by the bartender and chose to eat at the bar. I chose from the prix fixe menu: roasted mushroom soup with sourdough, Cuban pork with black beans in bbq jus, cabbage ale and herbed sour cream. The soup was excellent warm and darkly savory and not too salty. The toasted sourdough was perfect for dipping in the soup. The generous pork and beans plate was slightly pleasantly spicy and the au jus complemented the beans in a way I can really describe but was delicious. Even the cabbage slaw was a coo...

The Dutch offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and we opted for indoor seating once again. The server promptly greeted us and allowed us to choose our preferred section. We ordered two coffees and then examined the specials posted on butcher's paper as well as the menu. Both of us decided to try the Dutch Baby, a pancake-like dish with various fillings and toppings. I chose one with fruit, and for an extra charge, I added more fruit and a side of bacon. My husband opted for one with meat and egg filling. The coffee was decent, and the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. Artwork was on display on the walls, with pieces available for purchase. There was only one restroom avai...
Made a last minute reservation here on a Saturday night. We knew the food would be good because there was a constant influx of delivery people grabbing to-go orders. The server was very kind and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious and portions were big. I have a very sensitive stomach and even though I got medium heat on my entrees, I was totally fine afterwards which is a first after Indian food lol. Only suggestion is I wish there was some quiet music in the background so you don't hear the kitchen as much. Other than that, great place for a casual dinner with a home-cooked meal feel. We will definitely be back. Thank you Palace of Indian!
Get there early. It is WORTH IT. We came for breakfast on a Sunday. I got the cheesesteak hash, I never eat eggs over easy but this was really good. Portion size was perfect. My spouse got the sweet Dutch baby, delicious. I always drive by this place and so glad we came for Father?s Day. I also had a passionfruit Bellini, perfect. I also enjoy how they take a certain amount of orders, so they don?t overwhelm the kitchen and the product is exceptional. A gem on Passyunk. Book a table now
I went to this restaurant for brunch for the first time and had a great experience. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the 3-egg special with home fries and bacon, along with a Dutch baby on the side. I definitely plan on coming back, I would rate it 10/10!
do not look further - this is the BEST Indian food in South Philippines, possibly all philly! we ordered tikka, korma and kahari and all surpassed our expectations. great quality meat and sauces and great part! will always order again.
This place was good. The food was good. The ambiance was good. The prices were good. The staff was good. A buddy and i were just visiting and really enjoyed our breakfast here. Only complaint would be the parking.
one of the best Indian cuisine places in philly! the owner / manager recommended a lamb-based court and it was lovely. would definitely order again. Book a table now
