Called in as it was the first pub that looked welcoming, after coming from Chester, visiting a nearby garage to test drive a car. Was really glad to have found it. Melissa Jo was kind enough to find me a table to dine alone where I wouldn’t feel too uncomfortable; something most restaurants overlook but it was really appreciated. The food was great and Melissa Jo ensured I had what I needed and was able to settle up quickly before being on my way. A great experience, I’ve already recommended the place to colleagues who live nearby. Hospitality is still suffering the after effects of covid, with many places unable to recruit good people. We stayed at Fernleigh Cottage, which is connected to the Pheasant Inn, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The cottage was lovely, and dining at the Pheasant Inn next door was a real highlight. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome, and the food was absolutely delicious—hats off to the chef! We wholeheartedly recommend both the accommodation and the pub. Thank you for making our stay so perfect; keep up the fantastic work!
Had an excellent £17.50 set lunch. The choice was plentiful with something to suit all tastes. The portions were just the right size and the quality of the food was very high.
