or that is what this bar should be called for me, and I write this as a man who has spent a healthy amount of his adult life on seeking the holy gail of the perfect bar. to make a strong statement...and one that I will prove with now, in no particular order than what falls out of my brain. but we begin with the obvious.. the alcohol, always a useful outlet point, but the building stone for every public institution and everywhere serving warsteiner and wee of the gods gets my vote. it is in the middle of samoëns, which must be one of the most beautiful cities in france. the personal, simply projecting, than after some visit our drinks of choice waiting for us at the bar. The Place to be is quite a new bar in Samoens, it is owner run by a chap who used to work in Bar Le Savoie. He’s done a great job with a good atmosphere and a lovely lounge area upstairs to chill with some...fantastic pod seats.

a real apres skibar in the center of the city! excellent and friendly staff. very reasonable prices. a bit small, so usually very crowded after a day hanging on them. we're coming back!

Stayed at a hotel just round the corner from this bar , Great apre ski venue. Food very good and bar staff very welcoming and friendly .
