This was the worst dining experience I've ever had. I was really looking forward to it because I'd heard the food and service were good, but I was deeply disappointed. The two hostesses seated our party of six but didn’t bring us menus. We waited 10 minutes for menus despite asking several servers walking by and reminding the hostesses. When we finally got the menus, they acted as if bringing them was a hassle. Upon hearing about this restaurant, I had high hopes for the service, but unfortunately it fell short. It took 15 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. The food was also disappointing, although it did come out quickly once we ordered. Overall, the Prickly Pear Cantina is not worth the price tag. It was a subpar experience. If you're looking for quality, I recommend going elsewhere.
The margarita I had at my table was surprisingly weak. The service started off fine but our waiter seemed to forget about us toward the end of the meal, and we had to ask another server to refill our water. The food was average, similar to what you’d expect from a standard Americanized Mexican place. On the bright side, the hostess was very welcoming and attentive.
The Prickly Pear Cantina serves decent Mexican cuisine in the neighborhood. The restaurant is clean, roomy, and comfortable. While the food quality was somewhat better than average, I didn’t feel it justified the cost. For example, the mahi tacos, which were $5 each on Taco Tuesday, tasted dry and lacked freshness. On the bright side, the service was outstanding.

We came here ere for Father’s Day since there was also a car show. First time here and we loved it. The Taco salad was great and I loved how it looked like a giant taco! Made for fun pics. Everyone liked what they had. Would like to go back again. We got seated fast and ate outside with the beautiful view of the pond and ducks. Loved it.
We tried The Prickly Pear Cantina for lunch and had an amazing experience thanks to our server, Sergio. He was attentive and very helpful with our orders, making our meal truly enjoyable. The beef enchiladas were slightly salty, but my girlfriend’s seared ahi tuna salad was delicious.
Good Mexican cuisine.. The Prickly Pear serves really good Mexican cuisine. The Tamales and Chili Colorado were excellent. High quality ingredients and delicious rice and beans. All classic Mexican dishes. Beautiful atmosphere at Blackhawk Plaza and cheap.
This restaurant has the best Carnitas!! You have the correct saltiness/citrus balance. They have good prices and very friendly staff. Very good

Nice place for the family, but it does not have so many shops for shopping!
