We went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch on their first day of serving them again after the summer. It was evident that there were new wait staff who struggled to answer some customers' questions, but overall the service was satisfactory. The options for meat were limited to beef or nut roast. The vegetables were varied, though some would have preferred them to be served in a side dish rather than underneath the meat and Yorkshire pudding. We had to wait for the waitress to bring our vegetables. The beef was delicious, the roast potatoes were crispy, and the cauliflower cheese was excellent. There was plenty of gravy, and everything was served hot. However, at £18 per person, it felt a bi...

Popped in for a drink and light bite after walking with the dogs around Trelissick. Called back at the pub. Staff not friendly took 20 minutes to get served for a drink having been told to take a seat. Then ordered chips and garlic bread as little choice for lunch on offer. It took at least 30 minutes to arrive and that was after chasing the staff. When it arrived it was barely warm, a pathetic portion and garlic bread was more like fried bread with garlic. Very disappointing, poor service and poor value. As a local I will not be returning.
Located just outside Truro, Cornwall, this charming thatched pub is run by the friendly landlord and his wife. It is a popular spot for visitors traveling between Truro and Falmouth, as well as those heading to the local King Harry Ferry to the Roseland Peninsula. The food is top-notch and the cleanliness is held to a high standard. The pub offers a large car park and welcomes well-behaved children and dogs.
My family and I recently visited this restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday, and we were extremely satisfied with the service we received. The staff were all very friendly, the interior was clean and comfortable, and the quality of the food and drinks was excellent. This was honestly the best restaurant meal we have had in years, and we are already planning our next visit. Book a table now

My family and I recently visited to celebrate my son turning and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the service we received. The staff are all very friendly, the interior is clean and comfortable and the quality of the food and drink was superb. This was genuinely the best pub meal we have all had many years and we are already planning our next visit
Recommended by holiday lettings company. Food was average pub grub, older waitress was very grumpy in her manner, moaning at every group of children in the restaurant despite being well behaved.Self imposed service charge, no prior notice of this being automatically added).
The service and food were excellent, but when it came time to pay, my husband attempted to leave a tip and was informed that a 10% service charge had already been included. It would have been more helpful to have this information clearly displayed beforehand. Book a table now
The pub, which used to be very nice, has now been completely ruined by what they call updating. It is absolutely terrible now!

"The £23 BBQ experience was disappointing as many items were missing, including the advertised seafood. I ended up settling for rice and noodles instead. When I requested a discount on the bill for the missing items, it was refused. Overall, it was not worth the price."
