The food was pretty awful. It wasn't very hot and seemed like it had been made days ago and re-heated. I ordered extra pigs in blankets and wished I hadn't; they were hard as bullets and inedible. When we tried to order a discounted desert we were told that it had to be ordered at the same time as the main meal to get the discount but that isn't made clear on the menu and nobody mentioned it when we ordered. The large Pepsi Max drinks are way too small for £3.30. The set menu options are very limited. They don't have any porters in their real ale selection. Price range per person is between £10 and £20. I used a 50% discount voucher for our main dishes at the restaurant and had two delicious meals. The food, wine, and service were all excellent.
Roast dinners were a bit on the snide side.... like what roast doesn't have mash? Crazy. Could make the roast a bit more traditional Book a table now
