Just received an order from this restaurant and unfortunately it was not up to par. The batter on the food was undercooked and the chips were soggy. However, the main issue was that the order came with two cans of Coke that were clearly past their expiration dates - one from October 2020 and the other from January 2021. When we called to complain about the drinks, we were accused of lying. We were eventually refunded for the entire order, which we appreciate, but it is ridiculous to think that we would keep expired cans of soda just to get a refund. We will not be ordering from this restaurant again. It seems that some people have had good experiences with them, but unfortunately we were not...
I always make sure to leave a comment when I receive excellent service and delicious food. I have had multiple meals from Red Cafe Chippy in Rushden and every single one has been fantastic. The website is user-friendly and they always keep me updated on my order, ensuring that the food arrives on time and is hot and fresh. The staff always provide service with a smile. Thank you for the delicious meal! This restaurant provides great value for money.
I was in the mood for fish and chips for dinner and decided to try Red Cafe for the first time since I live nearby. I placed my order online, scheduled a pickup time, and was greeted by a friendly and efficient young lady. The portions were generous, the food was fresh and hot, and most importantly, delicious. This restaurant runs smoothly and if things stay the same, I will definitely be a regular customer. Flawless experience!
Been using red cafe since they opened, 90% of the time food has been great until tonight. Was told we couldn’t order certain items as they weren’t available, yet were sat there in the warmer, to then be told they were for online customers only, okay then. Got the food home, chips were over cooked and Luke warm at best. Undercooked batter on the fish. So disappointed. And sadly won’t be returning to what was once our fave.

Nice food but ........ 2nd time of using. 1st time staff unfriendly but food good. Youngest son gave a 2 star review as staff unfriendly when collected. Went in this time, and youngest son (aged 17) was threatened with legal action by owner unless took review down. Negative reviews should be seen as opportunity to improve rather than opportunity to threaten minors.
Definitely one of the best fish and chips around. We always get our fish, chips and pies from Red Cafe as the food is fantastic and we have also used their delivery service which was very fast and the food was hot and fresh. Can’t recommend this place enough and also lovely staff.
There is a lot to be said about quality then quantity, regular cod and hardly any cod inside, just all batter. Last time I used them I had a battered sausage and it was so hard my son couldn't eat the batter, but you do get plenty of chips. Won't be wasting my money again...
Freshly cooked, delicious food. Excellent chips, just as they should be crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My partner was delighted with his spam fritter too! Highly recommend this place. Great food and great service too.

6.00pm on a Thursday evening nobody waiting tons of chips (half thrown away) batter like concrete probably left over from lunch time. The last time I will ever visit this establishment.
Delivery was prompt. Delivery driver so polite. Food was piping hot and delicious. Fish batter crispy and chips were your perfect chip shop chips
