I have been going to this resturant for year's and never had an issue. The new owner made a rule with a waiting list where if your whole party isn't here you can't be sat down at all and everyone after you even if they just walk in are able to sit down if there whole party is here. I only had two people we were waiting and 5 people were sat before us and they refused to seat us until our party canceled our plans and we were down to two people and they sat us right away. There was a lady who was here before us and had been waiting on her plus 1 and they still refused to seat her until her plus 1 showed up. Dont go to this resturant if theres a wait go to the Red Geranium on byron center ave....
Went mid March of 2024. For just my breakfast alone, with tip and a 3% FEE WITH CARD OR CASH was $20.75. My 2024 resolution was to avoid business with stupid fee's and ensure the public knows the shady practices of these restaurants.I'll admit, I used to live near this store and went weekly in 2012-2016. I LOVED this place. First time back since 2018. The food was delicious and server fantastic but the value is not there. I had 2 eggs, potatoes, links and pancakes. Breakfast items area cheap and mostly carbs, even with egg prices the way they are it should not be this difficult. I'll say the unpopular opinion, go to the 76th Truck stop. Its the same food and price but way more quantity.
This was my first time stopping in to the The Red Geranium Cafe. My waitress Johanna was very friendly and was knowledgeable about the menu and fan favorites that weren't in their favorites section.The pig pen skillet was very good and the home made jam was fantastic. Very large portions as well so it would be difficult to leave there hungry.The coffee tasted a little watered down, but that may just be me. I prefer mine to be bold enough to stun a bull elephant. Overall, a very good experience and a friendly atmosphere all around. I plan to stop back in sometime in the future.
I remember going to the one Downtown GR, MI. This was 1998. And I have to say Red Geranium food did not disappoint.???And the Great service we got from a beautiful young lady.? Shelly. Filled my coffee with out skipping a beat..and she didn't forget our H20.The food was exactly what we wanted.. LG strawberry's over my juice Belgium waffle.. covered in whip cream..??? Definitely will be return, after church spot.????

Everything was good until the waitress came by to tell us, "It was getting busy. "I 'm not sure how I feel about it. We paid enough for a meal to be able to visit a bit after the meal.It was maybe 30 minutes.With the 3% service fee on all orders .. might re-think my choices.
My breakfast was cold, obviously sitting waiting on the counter for my husband’s pancakes to be done!! Scrambled eggs with hash browns limp toast! All cold except my husband’s food was hot as heck!! Ugh!! I don’t recommend this place!!
The service was very friendly and welcoming, but the food was just average. I could have cooked something better at home. The decor had a bit of a 2010 vibe to it.
Our food and server were great. The hostesses were less than welcoming. There was food on the floor and the area around our booth was dirty.

The food was fantastic! I really enjoyed the Mushroom and Bacon Skillet. The homemade strawberry jam served with toast was delicious too!
The raisin bread and raspberry jam were unexpectedly good.
