This used to be my favorite restaurant, but tonight was disappointing. I'm not sure if it was just an off night or if it was due to recent changes. We arrived at 8 for my birthday dinner, which was noted in our reservation, but it wasn't acknowledged. We didn't receive our burgers until around 9:30, and unfortunately, my gluten-free option wasn't available. Instead, I was offered a disappointing side salad. The desserts were limited to ice cream or chocolate ganache. The cocktails were good, but mine had hibiscus petals in it that weren't pleasant to chew on. We left at 10:50, still hungry. After hearing about how fantastic the roasts were at The Roundhill, we decided to try it out. Unfortunately, the service was just okay. The staff were not very friendly and seemed to be just going through the motions. The roast itself was quite disappointing - the Yorkshire puddings were more like pancakes and tasted too much like batter. The roast was drowning in gravy, making it hard to enjoy. Despite being very hungry, I could only eat so much of it. I was informed that the pub had changed ownership, but it seems like nothing has been done to improve the service. Overall, I would say that The Roundhill is definitely not deserving of the hype it receives.
I went to have a lunch and a work call right when they opened last week. The service was impeccable. The coffee was ace. The Buddha Bowl was beautiful and tasty. The sesame chilli tofu MELTED in my mouth. That stuff is addictive. And then there were all these mini little salads on a large big bowl/plate: rocket caper salad, kohlrabi slaw, spiced roasted cauliflower, beetroot, horseradish, sushi rice , pomegranate herbs, hummus toasted pitta. BOOM. Can't wait to book in for their Sunday Roast, and head there during the week again but with a friend to try their small plates. What a lovely place.
Our children brought us to this restaurant on Sunday and they are both full-fledged vegans, while we have never tried vegan food before. We ordered the roast and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. In fact, I can confidently say that it was better than any traditional Sunday roast we have had in a long time. The staff was fantastic and the restaurant was bustling with customers. Reservations are recommended as it fills up fast, a testament to the quality of the food. They also serve great cocktails.

I was really looking forward to their Buddha Bowl usually so nutritious flavoursome but sadly they’ve changed it. I wouldn’t rave about it anymore, I was so disappointed. It just didn’t have the flavours it used to have was just enough for one whereas before it could have been shared between two even though it cost more. I did comment and they said it had changed slightly…. enough for me not to rush back I’m afraid.
Came to order drinks staff on bar not noticing me awaiting to be served whilst in mobile phone made presence announcedgpt attention. Wanted to puchase drink with cash only as purse recently got stolen and cards disabled. Inability to provide cash flow to allow transaction . Inability to get 10 p off amount allowing poor cash flow ! Unable to order drink not great experience , again .
Best vegan roast ever!! Complete with a yorkie too and some cauliflower cheeze on the side! Sticky toffee pudding for dessert is to die for!! My only request please add another potato! They’re so good and 3 just isn’t enough Ps we drive from London every month just to hve your roast!
I would have been happy to have ordered anything on the menu. The vegan menu offered plenty of choice and the food was tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Loved the decor and ambience. Would go again.

The Roundhill consistently serve an incredible Sunday roast. I can honestly say it’s the best roast I’ve personally ever had, and my non-vegan partner would agree. Cannot recommend this pub enough.
