I was looking for an Indian restaurant in whistler and the older gentleman on the info desk of the Tourist Information gave us a card with two three Indian restaurants on it and we decided for "the royal ... ".we were not disappointed. the restaurant. has a pretty good seating in an L-shaped hall and also has clean washrooms. we ordered a chicken curry rice butter naan combo with a cold drink and the bill was only $17.83! eating was very tasty and we loved it 's inherently real Indian taste. Indian lily played in the restaurant we liked. overall a satisfying and happy experience for us.
Chicken vindaloo, chicken Tikka Masala and eggplant bharta were all good. The sampler dish with veggies and samosa was just ok. The chicken in the sampler was dry and tough as leather and the Naan was a bit doughy. While the food was overall good the service was not. The folks were nice but they just weren't attentive. We had to wave them down every time we needed anything - water, our missing eggplant dish and the check. The poor service dampened the experience.
yum yum yum. this was the best veggie corma I had in a hot minute. would recommend to anyone I know. the only thing is that it is expensive. I think they have so many customers if the price was a little. I only took off once on my trip, but would have had many more times if it cost less.
it was pouring and we wanted to go to an early evening meal and it was a Tuesday in October .so many restaurants were closed. we found this and we are so glad we made it! the food and the presentation was before place and the service...was great! we're coming back! Book a table now
A good Indian meal - lots of food so we shared a main meal which was plenty enough for us. A little spicy for me but I'm a lite weight when it comes to chilli!!!!
for lunch special, mango huhn and naan brot yum yum. our server was very friendly. I also loved the atmosphere with Indian music playing in the background.
I give 5 star for service. Food was good and served with smile. Manager was friendly and looked after 18 of us with individual attention.
Our favorite Indian food in Whistler. The only minus is not exactly earth friendly packaging on takeouts. Please switch to compostable! Book a table now
