We visited in early September and noticed that the wait staff seemed tired from the influx of tourists. They appeared low on energy and were lacking in smiles and friendliness, going through the motions in a robotic manner. However, considering the high number of international tour buses and daily visitors to the city, it is understandable why they may have been weary. Despite this, the food was excellent and the ambiance was great.

I ordered the Morracan style cauliflower tart. the baked was delicious and the filling was so creamy that it simply melted in the mouth. to dessert I had the apple plums with soya cuschard. it was the perfect end. definitely make reservations. in the night we went there, there was a sign on the door that they could not accept any walking inmates.
roast was in order, but the kartoffeln were not crispy and no cracking with the black! I am really picky about my roast and I just don't think that this was worth the money the pub itself is so beautiful and a great place for a drink. for walks I did not find the service great. *a plus but is that the yorkshire pudding was great!

Great place to eat outside the Royal Mile. On our way to Sheep’s Heid the view of Arthur’s Seat was spectacular. Everything about the restaurant was great; the ambiance, food and service. All the entrees looked delicious! My family ordered each one so we can all try a bite. I would definitely dine here again.
