What a fantastic place and with perhaps the most professional and tender staff I have met in a long time. All were a credit to the industry. The table had decorations on it for my mums 70th birthday and a happy birthday blackboard I didn’t ask for this so was such a nice touch. The food and mood of the place remains authentic to the Motown mood but guess what… the flaming juke box wasn’t working the reason why I brought my 70 yr old mam to the place was so she could press the buttons and lose herself to the music! Noted later though when we had overstayed our welcome that the juke box miraculously started to work 2.30 table booking but still there 6pm) such a shame! Keep the juke box working...
Whilst looking for a restaurant for a Saturday evening meal, prior to going to the Theatre Royal, we found this gem on Tripadvisor. With only a 2 minute walk from the theatre, making its location idea. Booking online was easy and we promptly received a confirmation email. On visiting the Soulville Steakhouse, we were not disappointed the staff were very friendly and attentive, the decor and atmosphere was superb, the Motown music was wonderful. Just a great place to eat at. Oh, by the way, the food was excellent, we both had steaks which were delicious and very reasonably priced. Booked in for 15.45....in time for the set meal selection. Absolutely excellent,the food,the staff and the vibe of the place. It 's been on my places to eat for many years and only just got around to booking in. It definitely didn 't disappointed and totally exceeded our expectations. Staff were super friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be back in the near future.
Fantastic service from start to finish, staff were friendly and polite nothing was too much trouble. My daughter was given some colours and on the back of the kid’s menu was a dot to dot that she completed and coloured in. Food was cooked fresh and it was lovely. Place was clean and tidy. Overall fantastic service will be back again

A fantastic steakhouse in the centre of Nottingham. Really nice decor and atmosphere in which to dine. Staff friendly, efficient and polite. Steak was to die for, cooked to perfection with very nice chips and salad. Only criticism, maybe the peppercorn sauce is overpriced as an extra, However, a must visit if you like decent steaks.
The food was amazing 100% the young staff was great and very friendly . But I can honestly say I’ve never meet a RUDE manger like the one that served us today (sherif I think his name was . I have no idea how he has a mangers job there he needs to go and do a customer services course etc.
Booked in advance for a party of 15.. but 3 pulled out the last minute.. The meal was just outstanding.. service.. drinks.. and every meal in every course was spot on.. All the staff was a credit to themselves.. 10/10 for every aspect of the night.. thank you Carmell..
Service and food was exceptional. Very good value for money and we will definitely visit again. I understand the comments about the decor but I think it’s just the style of restaurant.

The building was beautiful but unfortunately the soul didn't seem to be in the food and definitely not in the staff
