My partner and I have been regular customers here for the past two years. The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant and tranquil, and the food is delicious. However, we have noticed a decline in the quality of service, especially with some of the newer waitresses working in the upstairs restaurant. Lately, it has taken a long time for them to take our order and they have repeatedly forgotten items or brought us the wrong dishes. It is disappointing because we love this place, but we may have to take a break from dining here until the staff is better trained.
The restaurant offers tasty food, but the service is lacking. There weren't many patrons present, yet there were three waiters/waitresses in attendance. A service charge was already included in the bill. Unfortunately, we had to wait around 20 minutes for just two drinks. The staff appeared to be busy, but it seemed like they weren't truly so. One waitress was seen wandering around with drinks, seemingly unsure of who had ordered them. This was quite amusing to witness.
Popped in for a drink, went to bar where we got refused and sent outside as it is table service only. Sat down, a guy came over instantly, ordered drink each. Fairly quick service, but then when we were half way the drink, he brought us the bill. We didn't ask for it and there was still 2h until close. Felt like we are not welcome there. Shame. Also forcing people to sit down and then adding service charge is too cheeky. No music in garden either. Meh....
Such a beautiful place to be. Spot on. Flexible in every requirement you need. Marza she did an extra mile with a super beautiful customer service and let me and my friends welcome into the pub have an amazing Sundays. The Station House did a brilliant job hosting our engagement party last weekend in the beautiful upstairs private room balcony. The canapés were delicious and the staff were brilliant the whole evening was perfect and very reasonably priced for the quality. Thank you so much Marza, Vince, and all of the team.
I have been a loyal customer at this place for years, and it never disappoints! The staff is always welcoming and attentive, food is fresh and delicious. Some of the staff like Kevin, Marza are always making you feel special and right at home. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves good vibes.
This is a very nice pub. Comfortable, not too loud and many different areas to sit in. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the music wasn't too loud. We only had beers a snack, so can't comment on the food, but those were good. Vegan options could be better, there's not a whole lot of choice.
I like the service a lot, some of them are more welcoming than others of course. The food used to be better tho
