We occasionally go in The Swan for a bite to eat or a drink. The food and drinks are always superb and the majority of the staff are always warm and welcoming. However, the past couple of times we have been in we have been served by certain members of staff who have been extremely rude and unfriendly which has dampened our experiences at The Swan. As we did not live on a walkable distance from town and were going the to spend a fun evening in Lincoln, we opted for BNB Guesthouse the Swan.In the middle of the University Campus, along Brayford Pool. One gets what he/she needs. We booked the 3 beds room. In reality a very comfortable double bed and an a sofa bed, a large TV with several UK-channels, an ironing board, an open wardrobe. The bathroom/toilet is shared, as well the kitchen. It is quiet and very clean (my compliments). The key can be found in a locked (numbers) box. Me and my partner frequent this place however we went in for food, I was served a Greasy plate of cheese Dry bacon and Ready to eat chicken from a Store with a Burnt chicken goujon my partner ordered a PLAIN chicken burger to receive a Bun with 2 Burnt chicken goujon so she took it back and was told by the Waitress the chicken was dry because she had no sauce on it this was sent to the chef who also agreed this chicken was fine even thought it was burnt and overdone, admittedly I lost my cool with them and was maybe a little rude back, even then I was told you had your refund so what else do you want
The Swan is on the Lincoln University campus so it mostly caters for students and staff. I have a friend who works at the Uni so this is where we met for lunch. There are tables upstairs or outside that give nice vews of the boats on Brayford Pool. I had a large coffee which was very nice but served in a cardboard cup which was a bit odd when eating in. The chicken and bacon melt was tasty. Service was friendly and the staff were able to give my friend info about vegan options (she had pasta).

Just had 2 night's at the swan Lincoln my granddaughter is at the university this is right in the middle of the university, the room was the family room really good lovely bathroom clean and good size, bedroom had 1 king size bed and 1 double bed also really comfortable and clean could not fault it staff were very friendly and helpful great value.
I have stayed here numerous times with my friend and we love it. It has everything you could possibly need and is in a fantastic location on the uni campus, short walk to town with so many amenities on your door step and very inexpensive. However it does get booked up very quickly so definitely pre-book in advance.
Certain aspects of the service were poor I ordered coffee but was not told were the sugar etc was. cutlery and sauces were brought after the meal and the table was dirty.. It was not very busy.. Food was OK, service quick.
A great place for some drinks and a couple of games of pool. Right in the middle of campus so not far from lectures or town. Good selection of food and drinks for reasonable prices. Staff are great too!

Come here all the time, recently had a facelift and it looks amazing! Big outdoor space and cosy indoor nooks. Staff are lovely and knowledgeable about the local area
Just tried one of the new bubble teas at the swan, tasted fantastic and great service too!!
