Visited this pub Saturday whilst shopping as we used to on many occasions before coronovirus hit and was not so impressed, it has been taken over so beer not so good (all marston's beers) and smaller food menu. Food was ok but the pub seems...to have lost a lot of its old regulars, nowhere near as busy as it used to be.

Called in for lunch. Took a while to get served as bar staff talking to customers. Got our drinks and was looking at menu. Customers talking loudly and swearing not told off by staff. Quickly finished drink and went elsewhere. Not recommended. Staff definitely in...need of training.
Lovely town centre pub serving decent food. I had a sandwich with crunchy hot chips. Husband had the nachos which was tasty but an enormous portion. Enough for Excellent service from waitress, really friendly and helpful.
