came for a car on Easter Sunday afternoon. the lady who took the phone booking was very friendly and helpful and managed to book a table in the bar with our little dog. the staff was very friendly and attentive. the carvery was excellent with a great selection of sweets. the bar area had 4 tables and were all occupied by parents with their children who were under 10. Unfortunately, three men decided to stand at the bar chat and swear together while we all ate. they were very loud and their speech was inappropriate and inattentive. it was a pity that a coworker had no calm word with them instead of allowing them to lower the ton of this beautiful popular pubs.
the first time we've been here for a long time and a very pleasant visit. I had visited my parents, as I was far from the opposite. the staff was very friendly and relaxed, although it was quite busy there. Thursday is Steak...Night but I chose the steak and ale pee and my mother had the chickenburger with extra blue cheese and hotter sauce. both dishes delicious and I couldn't even finish mine! overall a very nice visit and we will definitely come back!
Just been and had a superb meal. My steak ale pie was delicious with lovely tender chunks of beef and lovely cooked carrots. My husbands teddy burger was thoroughly enjoyed. For dessert the sticky toffee pudding was just as good as the mains. Couldn’t...fault a thing. And finally all the staff are great. Ella who served us was so lovely with such a happy/smiley nature. A real credit to the place. Would definitely go again and recommend it.
Really friendly landlord, who came over to our table, Steak night special menu on a Thursday, steak was lovely and nice bottle of red wine included, would thoroughly recommend it. I asked for a lactose free dessert which they didn't have, but then i asked...if they had meringue and fruit and vegan ice-cream which they did ! Voila lactose free dessert! Happy days and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Thank you.

Ok being completely honest the staff were fantastic and so was the food. My only little bit of constructive feedback is the carvery area could do with a bit of TLC .. It's got to be said the food was lovely and so were the...staff. The hostess was fab when I rang to book a table as could not get done online...hope you will have us back and wish you every success with the pub...thank you
between tewkesbury and cheltenham. the menu is extensive with a variety of choices from traditional faggots or spices to the Moroccan lamm shank or monks and cocosnuss curry. the lamb frame I ordered was so delicious and the portions are very considerable. it is worth booking a table as it is a very popular traditional pub to eat in.
one of the best. I live in cheltenham and we always make the trip to the teddington hands because eating is absolutely right. the choice is excellent, the portions are perfect and the staff is always friendly. they have a good choice of beer and weeping and also have a beautiful garden for the summer. worth a visit.
we have fallen into the hands for a drink and maybe a lunch and were glad we made it! ends up staying for age groups in the beautiful garden, had a few drinks and something to eat, all delicious, the service was nice and all in all that we...has a nice afternoon. many thanks that we are back!

Nice place , very polite and good staff , food was ok but nothing special, I marked it down because of the lack of vegan options for the roast on sundays , a nut roast or vegan pie and some vegan Yorkshire puds would have...been great ,
