Top 5 best meals I've had in a restaurant in the last year. We ordered 3 dishes and shared family style. The chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and fish and shrimp. 1. Chicken and waffles....chicken was dark meat. Very moist and flavorful. Waffles were good, although they gave us a tablespoon of syrup and charged $1.50 for another tablespoon portion of syrup. 2.Shrimp and grits....shrimp cooked perfectly, grits were some of the best I've had. Very balanced in flavor. 3. Fish and shrimp.....they were lightly breaded and seasoned well. Cooked perfectly. Their hot sauce was good too. Bread pudding was good but had to ask them to warm it up. It was cold when arrived. Was very good once heate...
You order at the counter, take a number, and find your own seat; the staff then brings your food to you. The restaurant has a spacious interior with outdoor seating available. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We tried the stuffed mushrooms, clam chowder, fish and chips, and orange roughy fillet. Everything was fresh and served hot, although the portions were somewhat small, and the chowder was a tad watered down. I plan to return to sample more items from the menu. Service: Dine-in.
I enjoyed the fish sandwich; it was generously portioned and fresh. The fish was crispy, and I appreciated that they used cod. The loaded sandwich was delicious, especially with the tartar sauce, and they did an excellent job accommodating my request to warm or toast the bread. They even provided extra tartar sauce. I always leave feeling great after having this sandwich!
The Mahi Mahi was delicious, and I really enjoyed the slaw that accompanied it. However, the highlight of the menu was undoubtedly the German Chocolate cake; it was the best I’ve ever had. The price per person is around $20–30. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well. Book a table now
