"Easy and cozy. British bangers and mash with good onions was a treat."

We arrived at the Victoria Free House feeling tired and hungry. We were warmly welcomed by Taylor, our delightful server. Since it was Tuesday, the phrase "Tuesdays with Taylor" felt quite fitting. The drinks were excellent, and the food lived up to the expectations set by the venue. My partner, who is Australian, enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie, which featured well-prepared meat rather than the usual basic version. He was quite pleased with it. I ordered a fresh beet salad and a perfectly cooked dish that was wonderfully rare. While the ambiance of the place isn’t particularly stunning, the focus clearly lies on the fantastic food and drinks!

We went this past Sunday afternoon for the Capitol One Cup Final. Took my wife and inlaws here since this is a Liverpool supporter hangout and my brother inlaw is a huge Liveepool fan. Everything was great one issue was they were very understaffed (we gathered they didn't anticipate a full house). Nonetheless, the service was a great as it could have been given the circumstances. Also wish they had Guinness on draft. Food was tremendous! Highly recommend for those who like British food and soccer.

There was only one waitress for the entire bar, but she did a very nice job serving us a bit slow but tolerable. She was very nice. The Tikka Pizza and Fish and Chips were delicious. The fish was real fish and very delicious! The fries were a bit greasy and could have stood a bit more cooking. The Tikka Pizza was delicious and I highly recommend it! Overall, its a good place to go, as the people were nice, and the Pub is a non smoking venue. I will be going there again.

I found this place online and made a reservation for a Saturday night in January. We were visiting from Miami, and were in the mood for comfort food and a cozy atmosphere. Victoria Freehouse was just what we were looking for! We started with the Tikka Pizza, which was tasty and light. We ordered the Shepherd's Pie and Chicken Tikka Masala for dinner, and both were delicious. We sat at the bar, and received friendly, prompt service.... Highly recommended! Book a table now

Nearly had the place to ourselves for dinner at 8:30 on a Saturday night. Service was very good, so was the food. Unusually and pleasantly quiet. Would recommend highly for a date night as conversations were easily held. By the time we left around 10:00pm the place was definitely picking up and looked like a good time would be had. If it weren't for our young daughter being along we would have gladly stayed and enjoyed the scheduled entertainment!

we drove to victoria freehouse for preconcert (springsteen) cocktails and eating. we had the restaurant at 3 o'clock on Friday afternoon. richard was our bartender/server and was wonderful. he took the time to explain the craft beer selection and menu recommendations. we split the chicken chips, welsch rarebit, tikka flatbread pizza, wurst roll bacon wrapped dates. everything was delicious. we can't expect to go back.

We chose this restaurant for Valentine's Day. We chose very well. What a great place! The food was exactly what we were hoping for and reminiscent of the food we ate during our trip to Portsmouth England. Richard was the only server working and tending bar. Richard is wonderful! Attentive without hovering. He is the reason we will come back to this place.

The service at this restaurant was quite poor. The waiter seemed almost disinterested. We had to ask for assistance multiple times, even though there were only a few other customers present. The food was just average. I won't be returning. Book a table now

I visited Victoria Free House to enjoy some British cuisine, and it certainly delivered! Taylor, who served us, was absolutely wonderful!
