Now I love a fish pie and the one at the village is one of the best, exactly how I like it….lots of fish, prawns and scrummy cheesy sauce We walked in early Tuesday evening in Feb without a reservation so not surprised to...find it was quite but still a nice friendly atmosphere and the lamp chops we saw going to one of the other tables also looked good.
The staff were warm and welcoming. Despite being busy, the service was excellent. The food was outstanding. I ordered the fisherman's platter and the fish was incredibly tasty, there were plenty of mussels, and the scallops were delicious. The only downside was that the calamari was a bit tough. The portions were very generous.
Lovely warm atmosphere, great food, in fact the best calamari that my husband has ever had followed by a fantastic steak, I had the lamb cutlets. Generous portions of veg and saute potatoes, we were too full for a pudding. Staff were friendly and we...will definately re visit this restaurant next time we are in the area.
Sad to see no social distancing whatsoever here, bottle of hand sanitizer by the door but no more than between tables, no masks or gloves on serving staff.That said, food was excellent Would I come back? In normal times, most definitely, in COVID times, no chance, they’re not taking it seriously. Book a table now
Popped in for drinks and lunch with a couple of freinds they had visited before but was our first time the staff were lovely I did ask the waitress name but after lots of wine I forget but she was awesome food was lovely and...service really great highly recommend really good for vegetarians
Exceptional food. Our waiter was pleasant. Quick service. Noise was a bit of an issue, not customer noise but the constant , unnecessary rattling of cutlery being dumped in to respective compartments. I'm already thinking of my next visit and what to choose from the delicious menu.
Lovely meal with my Daughter we walked along Southside Street and went into The Village and had the course set menu for Food was lovely and although Restaurant was really busy we did not have to wait for our meals and staff were...very friendly. Highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing quality freshly caught seafood and wonderfully cooked meals in general. Absolutely ludicrously well priced. I've dined at many a Michelin star restaurant and this was to die for. Highly recommended. Book a table now
An evening meal for Birthdays, lots of choice and lovely meals, lots of fish meals to choose from, nice sizes. The deserts were lovely too. Friendly Staff. We plan to return.
