I returned for a second night and once again, the food was outstanding. This time, the entree portions were larger, which was a pleasant surprise. If you're visiting Edisto Beach, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The quality of the food here is exceptional. The fried green tomatoes served over grits were among the best appetizers I've ever had, and there's easily enough to share between two people. I did find the portion size of the main course to be a bit smaller than expected, but overall, I left feeling satisfied.
Only reason it got 2 stars was the food, I was going to only leave one (the food could easily be 4), but the service was horrible. Wait to get anything, there was 3 employees I could see, only one of them working. Treated with complete ambivalence.
Great local restaurant on Edisto Island. We had a great dinner there. Our only complaint was that the hostess was not very smiley and looked like she hates her job.
The steaks were excellent and prepared perfectly. The waitress was friendly and gave great suggestions. Highly recommend.
