Well what can I say. I never write a bad review. If not up to standard, I just don't go back again but today was terrible customer service. Booked at teatime today, and ordered food, cheese burger and chips and sea bass with vegetables. Arrived promptly, burger and chips were OK , but the sea bass smelt really strong and tasted sour.. It was definitely off. Waited a while to see if any one came to ask how it was, but no one came back. I quietly went to the bar and told a member of staff that there was a problem and someone came to take my plate away. That was it!! Sat there for a further 10 mins, no one arrived to apologise or offer alternative. Another 5 mins wait, no staff or manager came...
Today myself and family went the Windle. My boyfriend and son went approx 2 months ago (before change of ownership) we were all surprised with how tasty the Sunday dinner was. So we decided to go today and let’s just say… shocking is an understatement. Firstly, we were given menu’s, to then be told only Sunday Roasts were available. The female member of staff seemed uninterested and like she had just woken up. We asked the price of the food to which she guessed because she wasn’t sure….. To then be told each meal was £4 more as per the new owners request. £12 adult and £8.50 kids…The food that came…. Was horrific, all frozen, a £3 Birdseye microwave dinner would of been a lot better… The ONL...
Ok so tonight we tried a different eating place, will we go again? No! Food was lovely don't get me wrong and a good deal at £30 for two of us including a bottle of wine sauce never arrived The 40 minute wait was a bit too much, and then when I asked where our food was the poor young waitress was sent to advise that the order hadn't gone through to the kitchen and offered us a free drink unfortunately couldn't take it up due to driving .. There are a couple of other niggles ie a dog in our eating space and a sticky table and bar but we tried :
Had Sunday lunch today, the food was good, well cooked and plenty of it. Waited 50 minutes for it to served after ordering, was 1 person ordered before us and he received his about 30 minutes earlier than us, was a long time to wait. Only chicken or gammon available today, although there was more on the menu. It was £11 95 for 1 course, £14 95 for 2 courses and £19 95 for 3 which is the most expensive in the area.

Booked a table for a family Birthday party everything was great we all had different meals I had fish it was lovely with homemade chips ,there food is great all homemade ,there was not a problem with anything just nice clean plates nothing left we all enjoyed the food × will be back soon thanks to the staff Mel for a lovely Evening xx
Xmas eve family meal. Lovely food Slow service Good value We used to be regulars until constant management changes. Needs some leadership. We tried to book further into the holiday week and were told they weren't doing food for a few days. Confusing.
Been for Sunday Lunch today and had the best pub roast I’ve ever had food was amazing, 5 different vegetables as well as mash and roast, delicious gammon, huge portions. Great service. I will definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing. The bar staff seated us, Amelia and Emma our order was taken and the food was amazing cooked by the new chef George. George smashed it out the park! Will definitely return. Many thanks.

Had several spud dinners in here since Andy took over, always prepared to exacting standards. Always enjoyed and always leave stuffed. Have a try, you will not be disappointed.
Great local pub, Aaron the manager is fantastic and very friendly. Great service and choice of drinks/ food. Highly reccomend!
