We were greeted by a friendly staff member who directed us to the bar area until we were ready for our table. The decor and ambience was very warm and inviting with comfy sofa areas. We were then shown to our table. We were asked to pre-order our food the day before our booking but we asked if we could add a couple of sides whilst we were there. We asked for some Halloumi fries as a side only to be told they are a starter and we can 't add starters ..we reiterated they were requested as a side to then be told I don 't think you understand, the halloumi fries are a starter and come from a different side of the kitchen ......what? We asked for some chips as a side as well which must come from...
Started off not good. Booked late for Sunday. Directed to bar whilst table made up. Not a problem. Ordered a Prosecco. Could see it was the last of the bottle and was flat. Pointed this out only to have it held up in front of me to show the odd pathetic bubble rising to the surface. Tasted it. It was flat. Took some persuasion to have it replaced with a very fizzy Prosecco. Never had to argue anywhere before. Pubs should offer small bottles to avoid keeping a full bottle open for days? That said. All fine thereafter. Service is a tad slow. We were never checked on after service. We were asked about desserts but no mention of a coffee. Small attention to detail. When served all were polite. £...
In terms of the food, we had previously enjoyed the mushroom starter, but this time we were disappointed to receive only half the portion we had been given in the past. The dish consisted of only about three chopped mushrooms, which was not worth the price, especially considering that the portion size used to be larger. The wait for our mains was nearly an hour, and when the food finally arrived, it was clear that it had been sitting on a hotplate for a while. The sauce on the salmon had dried up completely, and the chips were undercooked while the mash was cold. We were so cold and had waited so long that we couldn't bear to send the food back and wait even longer for them to fix it.

This restaurant is absolutely outstanding. We had the most amazing Sunday lunch here. The quality of the meats and vegetables was superb. Yesterday, we went to a different restaurant for lunch at the same price and it was terrible in comparison. The young staff here were excellent, so polite and couldn't do enough for us. Despite living close by for 8 years, we had never been before, but that will change now. This will be my first choice for my birthday next month. Thank you for a truly lovely meal and afternoon.

My husband and I stayed at The Worlds End for two nights last weekend whilst visiting a friend in the area. We cannot fault anything, we were checked in by a smiling Stacey, served our dinner by and equally pleasant smiley Amelia. The housekeepers were thorough and again very friendly. I made a last-minute reservation for Sunday lunch, and even though the restaurant was busy, they were able to accommodate us. I was very impressed overall. We were greeted pleasantly upon arrival, our table was ready at the agreed-upon time, the service was prompt and friendly, and the food was excellent with generous portions. I will definitely be coming back.
Been for dinner and had a mains each and a dessert each. The portions are incredibly decent sized and cooked thoroughly. The staff that were on were very polite and attentive. They couldn't do more for you. The restaurant was also extremely clean. Will definitely be back.
Watched 4 in a bed not impressed with your tactics to win .the other bed and breakfast owners came out better they didn't play games and cheat to win . wouldn't stay at your pub the reviews speak for themselves
